"I have done everything possible to get my wife back, but she is acting so stubborn and difficult to reconcile with." Lewis speaks with Alexander in his office.
"Evelyn?" Alexander asked.
"Who else do you think I am referring to as my wife aside from her?" He asked her.
Alexander nodded his head and sat properly in order to hear the whole story in full.
"I didn't believe you when you told me about getting her back. Anyway, how did it go with the reconciliation?"
"She is now a bank manager and looks so beautiful." Lewis demonstrated by raising his shoulder. "Frankly speaking, her beauty, her body stature, her shape—everything about her has changed, she is perfect," He added.
"And you think she will reconcile with you after what you have done to her?You made her look like a slave in your house. You insult her on a daily basis and call her an unpleasant name. Simply because she is a changed person, beautiful, and attractive, you now want to reconcile with her." Alexander told him, believing that Lewis was attracted by what he saw around Evelyn.
"I admired your relationship with Harper. The way you play around with her and sometimes refuse to spend time with me as usual that disturbs me a lot, and the greatest of it all is your endurance to her her disturbance"
"Lewis, the woman there won't accept you again." He spoke and continued, "Paraventure, she returned to you and became fat; will you still accommodate her?"
"All I want now is to get my wife back. I have learned my lesson, and irrespective of her appearance, I will continue to love her and respect her" He replied,
"I wish you success, young man, because the lady I see won't in any way accept you. Nevertheless, if you keep persuading her, she might change. At least there are things we do for love. Maybe that foolish thing we do for love can earn you back her heart." Alexander sounded.
"Now you get me; just pray I get her attention, and this time, I must get it, no matter what it will cost me; Evelyn has to return back to me."
"Alright, I have heard you, my humble friend." He paused for a breath and continued, "To tell you the truth, I really love Harper; she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Speaking of a perfect woman, Harper has it all." Alexander spoke out.
"You have come again; this is the reason why I want to be with my wife and with my children around me. That will be the most perfect family relationship." Lewis responded.
"There you have it. I believe soon I will be expecting my twins, and with Harper around, it will be an everlasting joy. I love her and will keep loving her." Alexander added.
"Now that you have come to understand that marriage is a good experience, it really shows that two heads are better than one." Lewis speaking.
"It all depends on how you build yours. Yes, I know Harper was so stubborn at the beginning, and I refused to get a wife, but today, I have come to the conclusion to make her my wife. She is different from what I experienced while staying with my parents. She is very kind, outspoken, and a wife material."
"Are you saying that your mother isn't wife material?" Lewis asked.
"No,"Alexander answered him, "she is, just that, there are many differences; my mother lacks endurance; she finds it so difficult to swallow the bad side of my father. Though she has tried her best, but needed to put in more effort, knowing that rasing a child without the parents, meaning in absence of the father or the mother with claimed of divorce, will definitely build something strange into that child." He added.
" Hmmm! Lewis sounded. "That is what marriage calls for: endurance, love, and prayers. Which I have found in you and Harper, And I believe through you, your parents will come to reconcile again."
"I prayed so." Alexander answered.
A few days later, Lewis called on Evelyn, still pleading. While Evelyn continued to make it so difficult for him, she started by blocking his line and other means through which he would reach her. Lewis was so desperate that he made up his mind to take the bull by its horn by going to the bank again.
"You again?" The security man asked, seeing him for the third time. "I thought you had settled your dispute with her while coming to disturb us always when business is ongoing." Xavier shouted at him, as he set his eye on Lewis.
"See, I know I am trespassing, going against the law of the bank. But all is for my good. I need to speak with my wife." He also shouted, distracting everyone, including the customer. When the information got to Evelyn, she got so tired of what he was doing and decided to speak to him.
"Young man, I have told you several times that I am not ready to leave with you again. You should stop being a pest on my flesh, please." She pleaded with him.
"As long as you refuse to reconcile with me, I will continue to disturb you until you return to me." He replied her.
"Madam, let's get him arrested; that will put an end to his disturbance." Xavier suggested.
"Are you not ashamed that a single man overpowered you? He kept going against the law even with your presence and the rest of the security men. Isn't that a shameful action and a proof that you are not fit for the job?" She answered Xavier. And kneel before Lewis, saying, "Please, Lewis, go; I won't accept you again."
Lewis also kneeled before her and replied,
"I am going nowhere until you accept to reconcile with me. I believe there is forgiveness for every sin. Unless you are in a relationship already, and even if you are, you still remain my wife, in as much as he hasn't official made you his wife" He speak.
However, it was really a moment of surprise to everyone in the bank. Lewis has made history with his desperation by causing the bank manager to go before her kneeling in the presence of her client and security, to end Lewis disturbance. Everyone brought out their phones to take pictures of what was happening, while Xavier and his follow security personnel stopped them.
Evelyn saw the distraction going on and called on her assistance to continue with the business of the day while she went with Lewis to a quiet place where they could talk better.
She was there speaking with Lewis when she saw how viral the action had gone and how people were speaking well of Lewis, how he had distracted the business of the day, just for love, taking the risk.
While she herself was called from the headquarter to reconcile with her husband and make it clear to him that she is no longer interested. With this, they would be able to caution Lewis.
Meanwhile, she was asked to make a decision, either to go with Lewis or to quit her job, seeing what he had done and the bad name he had brought to the bank, having lost much money for the day.
Evelyn replied, "My home first. I would rather resign than allow myself to be a single mother while I have a husband. I need to return to my husband." She replied. After receiving the reply from her, she was asked to return to her position while she reconciled with Lewis.
On the other hand, Lewis was called by Evelyn; she sat him right before her sitting room and started by reminding him how he had dealt with her and the hard experience and insult she had received from him.
"I have come to forgive you, despite all what you have done to me and the evil act you took towards me. You remain my husband and the father of my children, as we expect more of them. Thank God you have realized your mistake, and I believe you will make a good husband from now on." She spoke.
"I am so sorry for what I have put you through. I know how difficult I made marriage to be before you, but I have come to right my wrong, promising to be the good husband you have ever wanted to have and a responsible father to our children." He answered her, kneeling before her, with tears almost dropping from his eye.
Evelyn stood on her feet and asked him to rise while she hugged him, showing full forgiveness for what he had done to her in the past.
She snapped herself with Lewis while kissing, and posted it to her blog, showing the whole of Singapore and other countries that have spoken evil of her not showing mercy to Lewis. She wrote, " Forever happy family." They were congratulated by everyone Including Alexander, who has doubted Lewis reconciliation with Evelyn.
To be sure, Alexander put a call to Lewis, and he picked the call. "Guy, we'll talk later; I'm having fun with my wife." Lewis replied and cut the call.
"This serious, finally, my change of decision has reconciled a broken home. That show that my parents have to reconcile to." Alexander spoke while alone in his room. He was still thinking of that when Harper rushed in with her phone, showing him Evelyn and Lewis current picture and their reconciliation moment.
"It surprised me, my darling, after years of seperation, they have finally decided to reconcile. It is really good news." He replied, Harper. Though I am still doubting it, I have to see him face-to-face and hear from him. This is really a surprise." He added.
"Do you say it is impossible?" Harper asked him.
"Something like that." He replied to her.
"My darling, with love, nothing is impossible. This is the power of love." She said.
" I will believe that a little because love have made me change my unchanged decision. Yet, I need to see Lewis to confirm." He answered her and continue, " he can be funny sometimes." He added.
Lewis was still having fun with Evelyn, where he told Evelyn how Alexander's relationship with Harper had moved him into reconciling with her be Evelyn. He believes the possibility of everything good happening in the family only with love, which calls for endurance, forgiveness, and bearing each other attitude.
"The same thing I told you. If you had endured with me at first while I kept exercising my body, and eating on a normal quantity, rather than over feeding, even having a business of my own we wouldn't have been separated. The worst part of it is that I had a miscarriage after signing the divorce papers." She sounded so sad.
" What! Lewis Exclaimed. You mean you were Pregnant and didnt care to disclosed it to me."
"Yes, I was, but I had a miscarriage." She answered with tears around her face. Lewis regretted what he had done and pleaded for her forgiveness. She told him about his child who she have left with, thesame child schooling far from her. Lewis promised to get in touch with him and to fix more celebration moments with her again.
Getting to the school, Most female students in the Campus, who have saw the reconciliation between Lewis and his wife, began to feel relief from his disturbance. A female student said to each other. "He will stop following us like flies, no more disturbing us for sex, and threatening to fail us." They were happy, while some were sad, especially those he has slept with on a daily basis.
However, Lewis got to have sex with Evelyn, which he enjoyed the most after some time of not being together. He is very good at satisfying her, as she relents to enjoy the moment. " Am attracted, by your pants, let me pull them off and sex you up." Which was what he said to her at first, which she accepted, having more excited time with her on bed.
It was now left to Alexander to accept the fact that Lewis had reconciled with his wife or not. By doing this, Lewis has to invite him over to his house, seeing that Evelyn has finally moved in with him. "You think you are the only one that likes enjoyment." Lewis asked, and at the same time, be funny. "This is us, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis." He added, both him and Alexander laughed.
"That's good; I love that." Alexander got to know it was for real. There, Evelyn congratulates Alexander on his new relationship, with Harper.
"You told her so quick." Alexander asked Lewis.
"Yes, my man, she has to know." Lewis replied.
"All the same, you are welcome." Alexander answered and shared a moment of happiness with them, promising to bring Harper along while visiting next time.
