The personnel was trying to explain why the exchange area was suddenly closed as we tried to swap the crystal we had acquired.
Yugo: "Ummm... So we will need to carry this thing to home right now?"
Reiho: "Ye-Yea... But if you want to exchange that really bad, I think one of my friends here will help you. Could you wait for a moment?"
Yugo: "Hm? Yea, I think."
The employees emerge from behind their desks and move to the right side of the room. She then makes her way to the registration area and approaches a worker. From here, we can see her trying to explain what happened. The workers who overheard it took a deep breath in recognition of what she was saying.
Then, shortly after speaking with her earlier, one of the staff members emerged from that room, and the two of them came toward us. We discovered that we had previously encountered this employee.
Marinako: "So, from what I've heard, you guys want to exchange the crystal right now, right?"
Yugo: "Ah. You are, Marinako, right? Yes... We did want to exchange it since it was a pretty burden for us carrying this for now."
Marinako: "I get it. A lot actually. But this is why you should read the contract before signing it. I bet you guys did not read it at all."
Yugo: "A-Aaahaha..." *I touch the back of my neck with my left hand.
Myra: "Sorry. I did not."
Aria: "*Whistling." *Attempting to avoid making eye contact while looking in the opposite way.
Ayla: "Ayla also thought it was just a normal contract."
Marinako: "Yea... But I get it. It's normal behavior for a newcomer. Even if I were new in here, and had a magic power, I will probably not read that too."
Myra: "Then why you did not explain it to us before?"
Aria: "Hmmm... That's right, you should at least mention it."
Marinako: "*Sigh... Let's say we did not get paid enough for that."
Yugo: "So... Do you want to help us?"
Marinako: "*Sigh... Yes, sure... Since I've been working on that section before, I could help you but only for this time."
Yugo: "Ah... Thank you so much. It's really helping us."
I'm not going to lie, this crystal is heavy.
Myra: "Well, I'm fine though if we go back for now."
Yugo: "Oi. Try to carry this first then speak again."
Marinako: "Hm? What is that you carrying?"
Yugo: "Ah... This is the crystal I carry. It's a hoodie, from her."
Reiho and Marinako exchange long glances.
Reiho: "Ummm... Did you don't know that there's a backpack down there you could buy?"
Aria: "Ah... Yea, we surely know. Just there are a lot of think we suddenly see down the-"
Myra: "We don't need a backpack. We could just bring my hoodie anytime. And carries those crystals for a maximum profit." *She interrupted Aria before she could speak.
Marinako: "Hm? Are you sure?"
Reiho: "Yea... The thing is, the higher item you bring here, the heavier it becomes."
Myra: "Then we can sort it, which one is the more valuable, we should carry it."
Marinako: "Y-Yess you can do that. But the reason it becomes heavier is because of the item weight penalty."
Myra: "Weight penalty?"
Marinako: "Yes. If you did not carry a specific backpack that has been made from magic, the item you carry will be heavier than the normal weight."
Marinako: "The best way to bring an item with you is non or else by purchasing those crafted magic backpacks."
Myra: "Ah... Is that so..."
Marinako: "Yes. Anyways, let's just exchange your item right now before it's getting late."
Then we move in the direction of the exchange area. It was the exact same size and appearance as the registration area. The glass hole at the bottom middle was not shaped like a circle in half, but rather like a rectangle.
As Marinako entered the space and lit it up, I placed all of the crystals I was carrying on the table. She then calculated by counting it and utilizing a computer located inside those rooms.
Marinako: "The item you give me was a bronze crystal, and its total was 44. And it is worth 1 VC for 4 bronze items. So the total was 11 VC."
Aria: "Only 11? It is only worth three people buying the same food."
Myra: "And we were a team of four people."
Ayla: "Ayla think Ayla count in half."
Yugo: "Ummm... A half?"
Marinako: "Hmmm... There's a problem when I split it into four, then transferred it to your VC. One or two of you seem not registering your data in your bank account number before."
Yugo: "Ah... It's me, I believe."
Marinako: "Ah... You. Yea, I remember it now. I did not have a choice but split it into three right now. You did not mind it?"
Yugo: "Yea, sure."
Marinako: "Alright..." *She presses the enter button. "Done... It should be transferred right now."
Myra: "Yea... I've been checking it. It's increasing."
Aria: "Me too..."
Ayla: "Ayla too..."
Marinako: "Alright... I-"
"Excuse me... We want to exchange too..."
Someone arrived with three people rather suddenly. A female was among them. They all appear fresh as well. with each of them having a typical appearance. One of the soldiers is toting a little backpack that likely holds a reward for taking down the monster.
Marinako heard that and instantly froze. She then turned to look at him. Afterward, get up and turn out the light. After that, she left the room through the door on her right side. Then, as though nothing had happened, she leaves. She then exits the tower chamber and walks away from us without saying anything.
"Ummm... Excuse me, you were employees here, right? Could you help us exchange our item?" *The speaker was the same individual.
Reiho: "Aaa... I'm sorry. My part job here was to be in Customer Service. And I was new here, so I don't know how to operate the exchange think."
"Heh? But I'm sure you guys were just exchanging items, right?" *The same person is staring at us.
Yugo: "Ummm... You were just too late surely. We were the last one in here."
"Is that so?" *A similar individual is speaking.
"Guess we should carry this item until tomorrow." *Speaking is the second man.
"*Sigh... Tomorrow surely will have a long line to exchange this item." *Speaking was a girl.
"Yea... I heard that a lot." *A third man is speaking.
They move to the towers outside while conversing with one another.
