Chapter 109 - CHAPTER 109

The DNA of the Mirror Man comes from Sam, the Mirror Master of the Flash's Rogue Gallery. Although Sam himself looks like a human, his genetic sequence has been completely scrambled and has no relation to the human genetic chain.

Therefore, when the omnitrix optimized this DNA, it automatically selected the most suitable form for it.

Compared to humans, the limbs and body haven't changed much, just becoming more slender. The height exceeds two meters, and the entire body seems to be composed of countless silver mirrors, constantly reflecting light without stopping, appearing dazzling.

The most prominent feature is that there are no facial features on its face, only a cross-shaped symbol.

As for the abilities of the Mirror Man, he can create various illusions using mirrors and can enter the mirror space to move between different mirrors. He can even pull other people and objects into the mirror space.

Anything that the Mirror Master can do, the Mirror Man can do easily, and he is not limited by the restrictions of mirrors because he is made up of countless mirrors himself and can create mirror images at any time.

Unfortunately, he cannot enter the mirror space within his own body.

Since Yuri and the others couldn't determine what kind of traps awaited them inside the Blood Church, but leaving the Blood Cultists unchecked would lead to endless trouble, Yuri thought of the Mirror Man.

Raven had said that the Blood Cultists couldn't track the specific movements of each of them, so they could completely use mirror images to deceive them.

The specific operation was for Yuri to create mirror image duplicates of everyone, then let the duplicates explore ahead while their real bodies followed far behind, always cloaked in optical invisibility by the Mirror Man.

This way, if any accidental magical traps were triggered, it would be the mirror image duplicates that would be sacrificed.

What if the Blood Cultists set physical traps? That would be even better; they had Robin, who had been personally trained by Batman, and no physical trap could escape his scrutiny.

Of course, to prevent the possibility of the enemy seeing through the mirror image duplicates and invisibility with other means, Yuri had Raven apply a flawed magic concealment to the real bodies.

Why flawed? First, it was to prevent the enemy from finding the exact location of the real bodies. Second, it was to allow the enemy to detect a vague location.

This way, as long as they controlled the distance and didn't get too far away, whether the enemy used magic to investigate or relied on their naked eyes, they would see the duplicates as the real bodies.

This point had been confirmed by Raven after testing, and the level of magic had to surpass Raven's level of magic proficiency in Azerath to see through Yuri's carefully designed disguise.

Blood Brother's proficiency in magic compared to Raven's was unknown to Yuri.

So, in the end, there was one more step - the bait.

The ultimate goal of the Blood Cult has always been only one thing: Raven. So as long as Raven was genuine, they wouldn't pay attention to whether others were real or not.

After Raven had used all her efforts to repeatedly sense it, she confirmed that the magical array at the entrance was likely just an imprisonment spell and wouldn't be life-threatening.

Next, Yuri and Raven proactively took control, confusing the enemy and luring the enemy boss closer, creating an opportunity for the other invisible teammates to execute their strike.

Thus, the scene where Blood Brother was securely bound, and only Yuri and Raven were inside the magical array, unfolded.

"Now that the tactics have been achieved, the mission of the Mirror Man is considered complete."

Yuri extended his hand and manipulated the omnitrix, changing the DNA to... Shadow!

The imprisonment spell constructed by Blood Brother was specifically designed to restrict Raven, so Raven couldn't break the magical array.

However, Yuri had another escape artist up his sleeve who wasn't bound by such restrictions: Ghostfreak.

Ghostfreak could turn anyone and anything he touched into intangible forms, passing through almost any barrier unless the barrier itself was designed to counter intangibility.

Yuri raised Raven's arms and, along with her, slipped out of the magical cage.

Just as Yuri and Raven were emerging from the cage:

"You lowly mortals! How dare you touch Blood Brother's body!"

Blood Brother, infuriated, struggled madly. However, his strength was no match for Superboy, not to mention his hands were restrained by Starfire and Wonder Girl.

Blood Brother struggled with all his might, but it was far from enough, akin to a flea challenging a tree.

"Quick, save Blood Brother!"

The change had occurred so rapidly that the hundreds of faithful in the hall were only just now reacting.

"Don't come any closer! Otherwise, I'll snap your boss's neck!" Superboy shouted on the spot, and the arm holding Blood Brother's neck immediately flexed, veins bulging.

A strong feeling of suffocation struck the blood brothers' throats.

Robin, Bart, and Beast Boy were also prepared to fight hundreds of fanatics at any moment.

Superboy's actions were only a threat, as he couldn't yet kill his enemies, at least not now.

But the fanatics were clearly intimidated, standing frozen in place, unsure of what to do.

"You filthy hypocritical shell, I demand that you kneel before me!"

The blood brother's face twisted in a grimace, and then he did something unexpected by everyone.

It was a primal, powerful move that could only be used in dire situations.

The blood brother opened his jaw, the only part of his body that could freely shift, and extended his mouth to an abnormal angle of nearly 170 degrees, revealing two unnaturally sharp fangs.

Then, he bit down on Superboy's arm.

"Ah!"

A shocking scene unfolded as the blood brother effortlessly pierced Superboy's skin, which was many times harder than diamond.

Two streams of blood flowed from Superboy's arm as the blood brothers eagerly sucked his blood.

The excruciating pain, unlike anything Superboy had ever felt, caused him to involuntarily release his grip.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the blood brother exerted a sudden force, instantly breaking free from Starfire and Wonder Girl's restraints, then leaping back into the midst of the fanatics.

This display of power was on an entirely different level than what he had shown before.

"No... this can't be!"

Raven, who had just escaped from her cage, was shocked by the scene unfolding before her.

"What's wrong?" Yuri was startled by Raven's reaction.

"The blood brother didn't bite through Superboy's skin with his teeth. It's a magic called Blood Devour," Raven explained, her expression growing more serious. "I've read about this magic in Azarath. It's one of the most evil magics recorded in the Book of Blood."

"Blood Devour allows him to take the strength of the person whose blood he drinks. However, he can only take the power of one person at a time, and the more blood he consumes, the stronger he becomes."

"Respected daughter of Trigon, you truly are knowledgeable. I can't wait to see the true face of the great Trigon," the blood brothers grinned, feeling the surging power flowing within him, a power unlike anything he had ever experienced before.
