Chapter 98 - CHAPTER 98

"Is this room okay, then?" Yuri asked as he led Raven to the third floor to pick her own room.

Although Raven was choosing her room, she remained rather passive, not making any demands. In the end, they chose the room Yuri had recommended on the north side of the third floor. Starfire's room was nearby, separated by two walls, and Cassie's room was diagonally opposite.

The room was quite simple in its furnishings, or rather, there were no furnishings at all. The entire room appeared empty.

"Furniture and such don't matter; we'll head to the underground storeroom later to get them. They're all top quality, both in terms of quality and appearance, guaranteed to be better than anything you'd find in a furniture store," Yuri said with a smile. When Titan Tower was built, they had taken into account the possibility of expanding the number of residents, so there were over thirty bedrooms in the tower. Considering that each person had different furniture needs, they had the freedom to decorate their own rooms.

"What's a furniture store?" Raven blinked and asked.

Yuri: "..."

"How should I put it? It's a large marketplace for selling furniture..."

"Oh," Raven nodded as if she understood.

"Ahem, this room looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Let's tidy it up first," Yuri coughed lightly and said while complaining, "I wonder where Connor and Tim have gone. They didn't come over to help."

Saying this, Yuri picked up the vacuum cleaner and started removing the dust from the floor.

Before he had taken a few steps, Raven walked over and stopped him, shaking her head slightly.

Yuri looked at her in confusion. Raven extended her right hand and recited an incantation.

"Let all things in the heavens and earth heed my command—"

A black energy instantly enveloped the vacuum cleaner in Yuri's hand. Yuri let go, and the vacuum cleaner automatically flew to the ground and began to work.

Not only that, even the squeegee and cloth for cleaning the windows flew up and began to clean the floor-to-ceiling windows automatically.

Yuri looked at everything happening before him with a complex expression. It was unexpected, but it made sense. Why would someone who could use magic need to do manual labor?

Logical.

Soon, the room became incredibly clean, without a trace of dust.

Then, Yuri took Raven to the underground storeroom.

As Yuri had anticipated, a girl's bedroom would likely be meticulously selected and take a long time. He was prepared for Raven to take her time.

However, it took them less than half a minute.

Raven walked into the storeroom and immediately set her eyes on a purple wooden bed. She also chose plain black sheets and blankets.

Apart from the bed, there were only a wardrobe and a dressing table for furniture.

It's worth mentioning that Yuri helped her pick these things because he felt that it would be very strange for a girl's room to lack these two items.

Living with Azarath since birth and being forbidden to show emotional fluctuations, Raven couldn't even make friends. Coming to Earth and being constantly hunted down left her with no knowledge of a normal human life.

Raven had no luggage, so once the furniture was arranged, there was nothing left to organize.

"Yuri!"

Just as Yuri and Raven were finishing up the room, they heard someone calling his name.

Yuri looked towards the door and saw Tim and Connor walking in with strange expressions.

"Just now, Cassie sent a message saying that something's wrong with Bart!"

"What?" Yuri was shocked. "Wasn't he in the Star Labs medical bay? How could there be a problem?"

"We don't know the details either. Cassie said Bart's behavior is extremely strange right now and asked us to go to the San Francisco Public Library as soon as possible," explained Connor.

This puzzled Yuri even more. "I remember the public library should be at 100 Larkin Street. Why would Bart run there from Star Labs?"

"Who is Bart, and who is Cassie?" Raven asked curiously.

"Bart and Cassie are the other two members of the Teen Titans. Bart was injured in a recent battle, and Cassie took him for treatment, so you haven't met them," Tim answered her question. Then he looked at Yuri and said, "Yuri, we need to leave immediately to check on Bart's condition. Raven, if you want to come along, you can."

"?"

Hearing this, Raven stood still in surprise.

"Come on, this is your first task since you came to the Titans. Make sure to perform well," Yuri blinked at Raven and said with a smile.

With that, Yuri left with Tim and Connor.

Raven tilted her head in hesitation for a moment, then quickly followed them.

Seeing her response, the three of them couldn't help but smile.

Although Tim and Connor had been busy with their own affairs earlier, it didn't mean they didn't value this new member. The Teen Titans, unlike the Justice League, were not just a team but also a family. They hoped that Raven would quickly integrate into this family.

Since there wasn't an emergency situation, Yuri and the others chose not to fly there. After all, having several superheroes flying around in broad daylight in the downtown area could easily lead to misunderstandings among the public.

Yuri drove them in his car, and with the speed of the car, it wouldn't take long to reach the public library.

As for issues like speeding, well, the license plate of the car had long been recorded in the traffic system, and as long as it didn't cause a traffic accident, they could avoid any penalties.

Superheroes enjoyed many rights that ordinary people didn't.

Yuri sat in the driver's seat with Connor in the passenger seat, while Tim sat in the back. As for Raven, she stayed hidden in the back of the car.

She cautiously observed the interior of the car, curious about many things but too afraid to touch anything.

It was both amusing and touching for those watching.

"Connor, how's it going with Cassie?" Yuri asked Connor as he drove.

"W-What... what do you mean? What are you talking about?" Connor's face immediately turned red.

"Heh heh," Yuri gave Connor a strange and punchable smile. "Your interest in Cassie isn't exactly a secret. We all noticed it back when we held the welcoming ceremony."

"Your way of looking at Cassie is just too obvious, Connor. You're not good at hiding secrets," Tim chimed in from the back.

"Come on, don't hide it. Have you gone a whole week without talking to anyone since leaving Titans Tower?" Yuri said in a bizarre tone.

"We've talked, of course! Twice!" Connor's face turned even redder as he blurted out the information.
