Chapter 71 - CHAPTER 71

Robin glanced at Superboy and Wonder Girl's situation, realizing that he couldn't intervene in their close combat. So, he turned his attention to Yuri and Beast Boy's fight.

Yuri, who was transformed into a sturdy diamond-like form, moved nimbly around Beast Boy. Yuri's agility far surpassed Beast Boy's as he effortlessly evaded the attacks.

Of course, Yuri wasn't just avoiding attacks without retaliating. His counterattacks were quite unique—either he sneaked behind Beast Boy to deliver a hammering blow or targeted the softer areas of Beast Boy's lower legs and toes. In short, Yuri refused to engage Beast Boy directly in a head-on clash.

Each strike left Beast Boy howling in pain. He desperately tried to catch Yuri, but the latter moved like a slippery eel, impossible to grasp.

"Yuri, are you only good at dodging? Do you dare to face me head-on in a fight?" Beast Boy exploded in frustration, wildly attacking and smashing everything in his path.

Robin couldn't help but feel exasperated at the scene.

"From Yuri's performance, it seems that Diamondhead's ability involves changing the structure of his body. His body possesses flexibility and incredible defensive power, just like his name suggests—he's like he's made of diamond."

Although Diamondhead's name contains "diamond," his body composition is not actually diamond.

The Petrosapiens body is not an element; it's a compound primarily composed of silicon.

Diamondhead's high defense is largely attributed to his race's ability to rearrange the atoms of their bodies rather than solely relying on their physical form.

"His movements are so fast; Gar can't keep up with him. And I'm probably not up to the task either. The explosive batarang's power might not be enough to deal with Yuri. Should I just wait for Connor to defeat Wonder Girl?" Robin pondered, trying to figure out Diamondhead's potential weaknesses. Though he was likely unable to intervene in the fight, being a member of the Bat Family, he was determined not to lose, be it in games or in training!

Despite using tactics to win over Impulse earlier, if he were to go head-to-head, Robin was uncertain of his ability to provide any meaningful support to either Superboy or Beast Boy.

"Hmm?"

Suddenly, Robin noticed a green crystal protruding not far from his feet, probably splintered from something.

He picked up the crystal, staring at it thoughtfully for a long time...

Thud!

Beast Boy's fist slammed forcefully into the ground, leaving countless imprints on the surface.

Perhaps the prolonged and wild attacks had drained his stamina. This time, Beast Boy didn't immediately retract his fist; instead, he supported himself with his right hand on the ground, panting heavily.

A glint of cunning flashed in Yuri's eyes as he immediately slammed his hands on the ground.

Instantly, crystals surged from the ground, wrapping around Beast Boy's fist frantically, as if freezing his hand to the floor.

Beast Boy tried to pull his hand free, but he couldn't budge the restraints created by Diamondhead!

In his prime, breaking free from this restraint wouldn't have been too difficult. However, his current state had significantly weakened, making it impossible for him to escape this binding.

"Why should I fight you head-on?" Yuri chuckled. "If I can win easily, why should I waste more effort?"

The crystals entangling Beast Boy quickly spread upward, surpassing his elbow in the blink of an eye. It seemed like Yuri aimed to "freeze" Beast Boy's entire body.

"Hmph, do you think you've won, Yuri?" Suddenly, Beast Boy's lips curved into a sinister smile. "If I can't break free, then I'll switch to another animal!"

Before Yuri could react, Beast Boy's body visibly shrank, transforming into a small green pigeon.

"Oh? You think you can escape, Gar?" Yuri smiled slightly, controlling the crystals to rapidly extend and contract, once again capturing Beast Boy.

On the other side of the battlefield were Superboy and Wonder Girl.

"Cassie, during the year after the team disbanded, I've been reminiscing about our past every day!"

Superboy lightly leaped, almost touching the ceiling with minimal effort, reaching a height of nearly thirty meters.

"So, for this entire year, I've been training hard, even enduring Superman's scolding for skipping school, just so that when we meet again, you'll see me in a different light!"

He then flipped in the air and forcefully kick the ceiling with both feet, leaving two deep footprints in the ceiling.

"To prove to you that if we had a chance to start over, I would definitely save Donna!" he exclaimed.

Whoosh!

Superboy shot out like a cannonball, heading straight towards Wonder Girl.

Wonder Girl crossed her arms in front of her chest, and a beautifully crafted golden bracer appeared on her wrist. She then struck her hands together.

A visible golden shockwave erupted from the impact of her bracers, meeting Superboy's diving punch head-on.

Boom!

An earth-shattering sound burst forth, shaking the entire Titans Tower. The ground was covered in cracks, as if it could shatter at any moment. Even the environmental simulation system was directly destroyed by this impact, revealing the original appearance of the training room.

"I must admit that I'm glad Starfire rebuilt the Teen Titans after knowing you all would come. Otherwise, I might have been stuck in that small town until graduation, or maybe I would never have seen you again," Superboy said softly, gazing into Wonder Girl's eyes.

Meanwhile, on the other side of San Francisco Bay, across from Titans Island.

A group of people dressed in red robes gathered eerily here. Only one person among them was different from their attire. He wore armor made from an unknown metal, light, close-fitting, and highly defensive.

The armor had a combination of orange and black colors, especially the helmet, which was precisely divided in half—one side black, the other orange.

His helmet covered his entire head, concealing any facial features. What was even stranger was that the eye area of the helmet only had a hole for the left eye, while the right eye was covered.

At first glance, he appeared to be a one-eyed pirate.

Without a doubt, he was the leader of this group.

"Lord Deathstroke, what are you looking at?" a person in a red robe asked respectfully.

Deathstroke didn't answer the question, not even turning his head. He just stared in the direction of Titans Island, murmuring to himself in a voice only he could hear.

'The Titans Tower is open for use again... Have they not learned their lesson? Kids shouldn't put on uniforms!'

"Lord Deathstroke? Lord Deathstroke!"

Seeing that Deathstroke was lost in thought, possibly not hearing his words, the person in the red robe raised his voice.

"What's the matter?"

Deathstroke snapped out of it and turned to look at the person who spoke.

"Praise to the Blood Brother! Lord Deathstroke, please don't forget why we are here—the priority is to retrieve the daughter of our god. Don't be distracted by unnecessary things."
