Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Letter

Soon, the news of Arthur joining the Ravenclaw Quidditch team spread to students from all four houses.

Gryffindor wasn't surprised since their savior, Mr. Potter, had also joined the Quidditch team.

Hufflepuff didn't express any opinion and went about their own business.

On the other hand, Slytherin House was very terrible about it. Malfoy mocked and said that he could have joined the team in his first year if their Head of House wasn't so strict about rules.

It was rumored that Malfoy even went to Professor Snape to report this, but he was scared off by Snape's cold glare.

Ravenclaw was the most excited about it. Their Quidditch team had been struggling for years, but with Arthur's skills, they were sure to win the Inter-House Quidditch Cup this year.

For this reason, several senior female students formed a cheerleading squad to support Arthur in the next match. Many young witches, including those from Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, joined the team.

Roger Davies was jealous of this and wondered why he didn't have his own cheerleading squad. After all, he was the captain of the Quidditch team.

Arthur, however, didn't care about these things and had a very tight schedule every day. After class, he went straight to the library to study and do homework with Hermione.

Ever since the flying lesson incident, the young witch had avoided him for a while and ran off after class without greeting a word with Arthur.

However, after a week everything returned to normal, and she even joined his cheerleading squad.

'Girls' minds are too hard to guess.'

Arthur didn't understand all of this, but he was glad that Hermione was back to normal.

This way, he could copy Hermione's homework.

Yes, Arthur was too lazy to write those lengthy essays himself. He would always help Hermione with her homework by taking it from her.

Hermione didn't question him, after all, Arthur's performance in class was there for all to see, and he had already earned Ravenclaw over a hundred points.

Arthur spent most of his time studying ancient runes and had made great progress, learning many runes such as 'fire,' 'wind,' and 'water.' He had looked deep into these basic runes.

Without the use of a wand, he could already perform some simple magic through wandless spells. With his increasing knowledge, Arthur believed he could perform any magic without a wand.

If he were to encounter Voldemort, he could just speak the incantations and defeat him easily hehe.

In addition to spending time in the library, Arthur also had to accompany Cho to train in Quidditch, and he wanted to lend his Nimbus 2000 to Cho. He was a beater and didn't require much speed. Cho needed the broom more.

However, Cho thought about it and still refused for the same reason Arthur had. It was a gift from Professor Flitwick to Arthur and not suitable for her. Besides, she liked her own broomstick a lot.

Arthur had no choice but to give up, and Cho would be able to receive the Nimbus 2000 he had gifted her by Christmas, which would only delay one match, so it wasn't a big deal.

In the blink of an eye, October arrived. On this day, Arthur was having lunch with Cho as usual.

Suddenly, a paper crane flew to his lunch table from the air. Arthur was surprised and opened the paper crane to read the message written on it:

"Mr. Gant, the first Transfiguration Club of this semester will be held this Saturday afternoon. The location is the staff lounge next to my office.

As you are new to the Transfiguration Club, you will have a little test to demonstrate your level of transfiguration skills.

Professor McGonagall."

After reading the message on the paper crane, Arthur realized that it was written by Professor McGonagall.

He had thought it was another young witch coming up with a new way to send love letters. His girlfriend Cho was curious and leaned over to see what was written.

Seeing Cho's curious expression, Arthur handed her the paper crane.

"Wow, the legendary Transfiguration Club. There are only two sixth-year seniors from Ravenclaw in there, and they only joined last year," Cho said after reading the paper.

After reading the message on the paper crane, Cho sighed.

Although she was not very talented in Transfiguration and struggled to keep up with the class, she was good at Charms.

So she couldn't join Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration Club, but she could consider Professor Flitwick's Charms Club.

"It's actually not that special. You just need to be able to transform objects into animals, even if the animals can't move and only have the form," said Arthur, feeling very proud of himself.

Cho rolled her eyes at him. She was still struggling to learn the transformation of objects, let alone transforming them into living animals.

But she didn't give too much thought to it. They had their first Quidditch match coming up next month, and Cho had to practice a little extra after each training session.

She didn't have the energy to bother with Arthur anymore.

Soon, Saturday arrived, and Arthur went to the staff room as Professor McGonagall instructed, ready for his first Transfiguration Club.
