Chapter 162 - Chapter 162: Guards

Hogwarts, Headmaster's Office.

Fudge stormed in with a few Aurors, complaining to Dumbledore.

"Albus, Your students attacked Dementors on the train! Seven of them! Seven dead!"

"They were working for the Ministry, so what? Are you openly disrespecting the authority of the Ministry?!"

"Do you know how much effort it took me to calm those Dementors down?"

Fudge's angry voice echoed in the office, but Dumbledore seemed didn't care and just listened quietly.

Suddenly, Fawkes on the perch stopped preening its feathers and looked out the window.

Dumbledore felt it too, and reacted in the same way.

"Albus, are you even listening to me?!"

Fudge, who was rambling, became even angrier when he saw Dumbledore's actions.

"Squawk!"

A loud phoenix cry resounded throughout Hogwarts. The windows of the office opened automatically.

Furry flew in, surrounded by golden flames, heading straight for Fudge and the others.

The Aurors' faces changed as they tightened their grip on their wands, ready to take action at any moment.

But Furry stopped two meters in front of Fudge and looked disdainfully at the Aurors.

She dropped the parchment she held in her claw.

Fawkes happily flew to Furry's side, spinning in circles and inviting her to have some of his snacks.

Furry ignored the invitation, as she was used to eating high-quality pet food and didn't care for crumbs.

Fudge picked up the parchment from the ground and started reading it.

The more he read, the darker his expression became.

The letter from Arthur was quite rude, not only questioning why Fudge was not disciplining the Dementors properly but also questioning his ability to be a Minister of Magic.

Fudge was furious after reading it.

But what good would anger do?

Arthur had mentioned in the letter that he had already told their "old friends" about this.

He hinted at the consequences if Fudge didn't consider the punishment for the Dementors.

Fudge knew exactly who these "old friends" were, so even though he was angry, he had to endure it.

Dumbledore stood by, enjoying Fudge's changing expressions, smiling but not saying anything.

Seeing Dumbledore's smile, Fudge couldn't bear to stay here any longer. He just told Dumbledore to properly discipline his students and left in a hurry.

As Fawkes continued to pester Furry, a gleam flashed in Dumbledore's eyes.

Arthur's phoenix was even more powerful than he had imagined. He had to be cautious about that golden sacred flame.

...

Inside the Great Hall, all the young wizards had already taken their seats.

Everyone was discussing what had happened on the train. The nightmare of the Dementors, Arthur's phoenix, and the two huge Patronus.

The professors hadn't arrived yet, and Fred and George squeezed in next to the Ravenclaw table.

"Arthur, why do you have two Patronus, and why are they both magical creatures? I remember Patronus are usually ordinary animals, right?"

George asked excitedly.

They had just witnessed the whole scene, and the sight of the two Patronus killing Dementors was still clear in their minds.

"Maybe it's because of the connection between Furry and Celestial. As far as I know, Headmaster Dumbledore's Patronus is also a phoenix."

Arthur explained vaguely, even though he was just guessing.

"We want to learn too!"

Fred and George spoke at the same time, and Arthur nodded in agreement.

For the whole semester, Dementors would be roaming outside of Hogwarts, and Arthur had planned to teach Hermione and the others the Patronus charm.

"But why can your Patronus cloak itself around you?"

Hermione recalled the scene in the compartment, and a blush appeared on her face.

Arthur transformed his Patronus directly into clothing and covered his whole body, looking incredibly cool.

Arthur patiently explained, "This is a small variation of the Patronus Spell. Once your proficiency is high enough, your Patronus can not only repel Dementors but also be used for attack. Some wizards even use their Patronus to send messages."

The young witch nodded, determined to master the full potential of her Patronus.

Soon, the professors appeared in the Great Hall, and Hermione and the others returned to the Gryffindor table.

The Sorting Ceremony quickly ended, and many young wizards eagerly prepared for the great dinner ahead.

However, at that moment, Dumbledore stood up.

"It's great to see all of you, including some new faces. But before you get lost in the food, I must say some important matters."

"First, let us congratulate Mr. Arthur for his tremendous achievements in Alchemy and receiving a First Class Order of Merlin. I feel honored to have such a student at Hogwarts!"

As Dumbledore finished speaking, he led the applause, and the young wizards below joined in with enthusiastic clapping.

Professor Flitwick's face turned red with pride, and he nearly fainted.

As the applause died down, Dumbledore announced the second matter.

"I believe you have already seen them on the train. Dementors will be stationed at all entrances of the school to protect us."

"Of course, I don't think it's necessary. But since it has already happened, all young wizards need to be cautious..."

Dumbledore explained that the Dementors would be staying at the school for a while, causing many young wizards to pale and express their dissatisfaction.

Arthur also focused his gaze on Dumbledore, who happened to look in his direction and nodded slightly at Arthur.

Then he solemnly warned the young wizards.

"Do not try to hide from the Dementors' watchful eyes or leave the school. No tricks or deceptions can fool them, not even the Cloak of Invisibility!"

Speaking of the Cloak of Invisibility, he deliberately glanced at the disheartened Harry.

Harry looked confused. The Cloak of Invisibility was in Arthur's hands!

He couldn't be blamed for this.

"So, everyone, stay away from the areas where the Dementors are. It's for your own safety, and of course, for the Dementors' safety as well."

After saying this, Dumbledore playfully winked.

Before coming to the Great Hall, he had negotiated with the leader of the Dementors.

The leader of the Dementors repeatedly reminded them not to let the young wizard with the dual Patronus approach their territory.

They almost had to kneel down in front of Dumbledore.

The previously somber atmosphere in the Great Hall erupted into laughter. Everyone knew that Dumbledore referred to Arthur in his last words.

After discussing these matters, Dumbledore introduced the two new professors for this year.

Hagrid was famous to everyone and received a warm welcome from the Gryffindor table.

As for Lupin, due to Arthur's display of power on the train, he didn't get a chance to showcase himself.

So the young wizards were skeptical of him, seeing him as rather plain, and the applause was somewhat weak.

But Lupin didn't mind. After raising his hand in acknowledgment, he sat down.

After the long speech, everyone finally enjoyed the lavish dinner.

After the dinner, the professors instructed the prefects to guide the young wizards from each house back to their dormitories.

Arthur quietly took Cho to the kitchen and brought some food for her to take to Luna.
