Arthur noticed Nicolas's expression and raised an eyebrow.
He realized that these famous old men in the magical world all had horrible taste.
It was the same with Dumbledore, Nioclas, and those old men of the Order of Merlin he knew.
"By the way, where are Kevin and the others?"
Arthur asked about his minions. Before he left, he left Kevin, Bob, and the others with Nicolas to help him.
After all, Nicolas was getting old, and having the little yellow creatures help him with his experiments would save him a lot of trouble.
"Oh, you mean them."
A thick smile appeared on Nicolas's face when it came to Kevin.
"They blew up my lab yesterday and are busy cleaning up the mess."
At first, Arthur was shocked, but then a vein on his forehead burst.
He had thought the Minions could help Nicolas, but he didn't expect them to blow up his laboratory.
Arthur felt a bit embarrassed about the situation.
"How about I take them away and get you some new assistants?"
Arthur thought of the owners in his previous life who were miserably deceived by the Minions and shivered with fear.
He quickly suggested it to Nicolas.
But Nicolas shook his head repeatedly.
"No need. They're doing fine. Kevin and I are good friends now. You can't take them away."
After a year of living together, Nicolas and the Minions had become good friends. Nicolas' life became much more fun as he watched them play and jump around every day.
If Arthur really took the Minions away, he would feel a bit bored.
Seeing Nicolas' determination, Arthur had to give up and change the topic. They started discussing some alchemy-related questions.
Over the past year, Arthur had made a lot of progress in alchemy, but he still had some questions that only a master like Nicolas could answer.
Arthur also took out some of the items he had created over the past year and asked Nicolas for advice.
"What's this?"
Nicolas picked up a vest and looked curiously at Arthur.
This alchemy item was pretty simple, and it belonged to the beginner level.
Nicolas knew immediately what it was for, but he wanted to know why Arthur had made it.
Arthur was a little embarrassed when he accidentally showed Fred and George's things to him, the Backbone and the Sleepy Glasses.
He'd been carrying them with him, and now Nico had seen them.
Arthur explained the purpose of these two items to Nicolas, who found it very funny.
"I didn't expect Hogwarts would produce so many interesting things. Don't worry, I won't tell Albus about it."
After saying that, Nicolas would write Fred and George a letter with some ideas.
After this little incident, Nicolas finally focused on Arthur's creations.
He was especially impressed by one of the books, which was a search index that Arthur had made based on ideas from the Slytherin library.
"You should've told me about this earlier. People's memories get worse as they get older. I sometimes have a hard time finding things."
Arthur smiled and said, "It's not too late. I'll give you the process and the magical runes used to make it later."
"Do I have to pay you some royalty fees?"
Nicolas made a joke with Arthur about how Arthur made a lot of money by modifying the version of the Doubling Charm.
Arthur shook his head with a wry smile. Nicolas seemed to enjoy teasing him more and more, and Arthur had no choice but to go along with it.
After going through all of Arthur's achievements, Nicolas couldn't help but exclaim, "Your level now is not bad compared to mine. You just lack some experience, but don't worry, it will improve over time."
Arthur understood this principle.
Practice makes perfect. However, improving his alchemy skills was not his only goal. He valued his overall strength more.
But today, Arthur hadn't achieved his most important objective yet, so he decided to drop the topic of alchemy with Nicolas.
"Do you know how to turn Muggles into wizards?"
Arthur asked. When hearing this question, Nicolas looked surprised and then sighed deeply.
"That's a forbidden topic," he replied.
"Forbidden?"
Arthur didn't understand, so he waited for Nicolas to explain more.
"Do you know about Herpo?"
Nicolas asked.
Arthur nodded.
"The dark wizard who invented Horcrux and studied basilisks. He had numerous other evil deeds as well."
Nicolas saw that Arthur was aware of it and continued, "Yes, he conducted countless evil experiments, including how to turn a Muggle into a wizard, and he succeeded in the end."
Succeeded?
Arthur became even more curious. If he succeeded, why wasn't there any record of it, and why was it considered forbidden?
Arthur could find traces of information about Horcrux in the Hogwarts library, but there was absolutely no record of how to turn Muggles into wizards.
Nicolas used magic to levitate a teacup to his lips, took a sip, and then revealed Herpo's method.
"He used a cruel ritual where he extracted all the blood from both a Muggle and a wizard and then swapped it between them. From that point on, the wizards lost their magical abilities, while the Muggles gained magic, although it was not very powerful. But Herpo succeeded in recreating with it."
Listening to Nicolas's description, Arthur's hair shivered on end.
Even just thinking about draining the blood completely and giving it to someone else made his head tingle, let alone actually doing it.
However, Arthur still had one question. Even though it was a brutal process, it didn't seem to be as bad as making a Horcrux.
When hearing Arthur's doubt, Nicolas provided an answer.
"Actually, even though this ritual is evil, it isn't as bad as making a Horcrux. When making a Horcrux, you have to kill someone and trap their soul into the object using the intense hatred it generates."
"And while the blood exchange ritual is painful, atleast the people involved can still survive. The reason it is considered forbidden is that it crosses the line for wizards."
