Chapter 137 - Chapter 137: Black Dog

Arthur didn't like Sirius Black.

Reckless, hot-tempered, irritable, and thoughtless, these words describe Sirius well.

If it weren't for his arrogance, the Potters wouldn't have been found by Voldemort so easily.

And after the tragedy, Sirius didn't seek Dumbledore's help.

Instead, he went after Peter Pettigrew on his own to get revenge without thinking about how Harry, his godson, would live in the future.

During their years in school, Sirius and James Potter often bullied to humiliate Severus Snape.

Which made Arthur, who had a good relationship with Snape, dislike him.

However, Arthur wouldn't be so low as to blame Sirius. He might even be willing to help him.

Because the Slytherin locket, which belonged to Slytherin, was hidden in Sirius's house.

Initially, Sirius's brother, Regulus Black, was once a loyal supporter of Voldemort. He believed that Voldemort was the best person to restore pure-blood glory.

But slowly, Voldemort's rule became more and more brutal.

For the family's honor, Regulus secretly stole the Slytherin's Locket, which was made into a Horcrux, and then let the house-elf Kreacher bring it back to the family.

Regulus himself died because of this.

Arthur now just wants to get the Locket through Black. So that Arthur will have a total of twenty-five thousand system coins.

He planned to use him to deal with one Horcrux and, After that, then draw a gatcha.

Arthur rarely read newspapers, but he bought a copy of the Daily Prophet and kept an eye out for news.

Sure enough, in mid-July, Arthur came across the following news in the Daily Prophet:

"Arthur Weasley of the Ministry of Magic's Misuse of Muggle Artifacts has received the Daily Prophet's Galleon of the Year Awards."

The article described Mr. Weasley in an interview and had a family photo, where Arthur immediately noticed the rat in Ron's arms—Scabbers.

Scabbers was Peter Pettigrew, and in a few days, Fudge would go to Azkaban to pretend sympathy for the prisoners.

When the time comes, Black will break out of prison when he sees this news.

A week later, Arthur saw the news of Sirius Black's escape, as he had expected.

The newspaper referred to Sirius as the most dangerous criminal in history and included a photo of a pale man with dirty and messy hair.

Arthur knew the time had come. He snapped his fingers and the house-elf Bart appeared in front of him.

"Master, Bart is pleased to serve you."

"Bart, I need you to go to Privet Drive and watch the situation there. If you see a large black dog, tell me immediately."

After giving his instructions to Bart, Arthur watched as the house-elf disappeared on the spot.

Two days later, in the evening, Arthur received a message from Bart.

He immediately rushed to Privet Drive.

...

Harry was in a terrible mood right now.

Just now, because he couldn't bear Aunt Marge's abuse and insult to his parents, he directly blew the other party into a balloon.

Since the summer began, Harry had endured his Uncle Vernon without retaliating or talking back, all for the sake of getting his uncle to sign his permission form to go to Hogsmeade.

But now, all his efforts had gone to waste.

However, he didn't regret it.

He would stand up and teach anyone a lesson if they insulted his parents, no matter what the consequences were.

Harry aimlessly walked the streets, carrying his luggage and his owl.

He didn't know where he should go now. He planned to spend the night at a park and figure it out tomorrow.

Suddenly, Harry felt a chill around his neck, as if he was being watched.

He looked around and instinctively tightened his grip on his wand.

"Lumos!"

Harry lit up his wand, ignoring the ban on underage wizards from casting spells outside of school. Then he saw two eyes staring at him in the reflection of the streetlight.

It was hard to tell how big the black dog was because it was standing in the darkness behind the streetlight.

Just then, a ring of fire appeared around Harry, transforming into a phoenix as Arthur stepped out from inside.

"Harry, happy birthday."

Arthur smiled at Harry, and the ring of fire behind him formed into a phoenix.

"Ar-Arthur, how did you appear here? And thank you for the birthday greetings."

Harry was amazed to see Arthur but quickly recovered and expressed his gratitude.

Furry, seeing that Harry didn't greet her, let out a dissatisfied chirp.

"Oh, hello, Furry."

Harry quickly greeted Furry as well.

"Hey, I just came to deliver a birthday gift to you,"

Arthur spoke to Harry while his gaze remained set toward the black dog.

Black, the dog, also noticed Arthur's gaze. Seeing the phoenix behind him, his pupils shrank.

Slowly retreating, Black felt relieved when he saw Arthur didn't make a move. This young wizard with a phoenix shouldn't have discovered his identity.

Watching the black dog disappear into the darkness, Harry felt much more at ease.

He happily asked Arthur, "What birthday gift are you giving me that needs your personal visit?"

"I hadn't planned to do it at first, but after you made your aunt look like a balloon, I thought I should change the gift."

Arthur teasingly taunted Harry with a hint of malice.

Harry felt a bit embarrassed by the remark.

He hadn't expected Arthur to find out about it so quickly and muttered, "It's not called 'blowing' in the wizarding world..."

Seeing Harry's reaction, Arthur stopped teasing him.

He extended his right hand and lightly tapped Harry's forehead with his index finger. Suddenly, Harry felt a dot of light appear in his mind and then disappear.

"What was that?"

Harry curiously asked Arthur.

He wasn't worried that Arthur would do anything to him, but he was curious about the purpose of that light.

"That's a location in one of my mansions. Since you've left your uncle's house, why don't you stay there for a while? You can use magic freely inside the mansion, as it's protected by anti-trace Runes."
