I carefully stepped out of the car as it stopped in front of Dracula's mansion, looking up at the foreboding house. The air was oppressive and even standing outside the gates, I could feel how much the vampire didn't want me there. The mansion was framed by the silver moon that hid behind the structure and I took a deep breath as I walked up the path to the gates.
As soon as we returned to Earth, I called Dracula and immediately asked to talk. He seemed ready to dismiss my demand, but I vaguely hinted at what Luc was doing, knowing that he would not refuse me then. With a sigh and a voice filled with his reluctance, he promised he would send a driver to bring me to him and I found my escort waiting as soon as Jinx and I returned home.
