When I awoke again, I was still in Luc's arms, and I could tell that sunrise had not come yet from the darkness that still filled my room. The hybrid next to me was sleeping soundly, and I gently separated myself from his embrace as I reached for the glass of water.
"You woke up." I froze mid-movement as I heard Bellas' voice in my ears, and the fallen chuckled as he recognized my surprise. "We're connected now, I'll always know where you are."
"Could you not?" I whispered, sitting up fully as I picked up the water, soothing my thirst as Bellas laughed again.
"Don't worry, it's temporary. Once you wake up Cerviel's power… I won't need too." He insisted and I sighed, rolling my eyes as I drank more of the water. "Don't be like that Lin, this works doesn't it?"
