I continued to hold Bellas in my arms, and I heard as Jinx hurried up the stairs to where Lee was pounding on my door. The pixie's action had lost their fire and I knew he understood what was happening. There was a good chance he could still feel Bellas even as the angel faded and that meant he could feel how fast I was losing him.
Bellas didn't seem like he could move anymore, golden blood leaking from both his eyes and his nose. I adjusted him in my arms as I looked at the door, Jinx now pounding on the wood.
"Lin! Open the door!" She demanded and I couldn't help my laughing scoff at her tone. There was a hint of the old Jinx in her words, the annoyance that I wasn't immediately doing what she wanted, and I merely smiled as I stared at the door. In spite of the circumstances, there was something comforting in hearing that from the witch. "Lin!"
