It was quiet when I returned to the house and my heart was pounding as I closed the door. I noticed the faint gold light and looked at my arms again, frowning as I saw my new marks. I would need to keep them covered, to keep anyone from noticing I had changed and I sighed heavily as I made my way for the stairs.
"Lin," I nearly jumped as I heard Lee's voice, and I slowly stepped back. I didn't notice the pixie on any of the seats in the living room and a frown started on my face as I looked up to the dark kitchen. "In the study."
I carefully made my way to Lee's desk, using the faint light from the backyard to help me navigate the dark space. As I stepped into the kitchen I noticed the dull light of the lamp on his desk and the slight shadow it cast on the floor. Lee was sitting with his head down as I finally stepped down into the space, his wings quietly folded against his back. He said nothing as I finally stood behind him and I waited to see why he wanted me.
