After Luke gave his authorization, five beams of blue lights shot towards the sky from the five skyscrapers placed at the edges of the Triangular City with the Crystal Citadel being at the center!
All the people within the Triangular City couldn't help but glance at the sky in fear as the blue beams of lights begun to form a dome covering the entire city within a blink of an eye before disappearing shortly.
General Bridge couldn't help but frown, ''What in the hell is that thing?'' he asked glancing at the light beams in the sky.
"General, I think we should commence attack now!" Some of the generals were feeling uneasy about those light beams in the sky. The faster they got the job done, the better it'll be for them all!
General Bridge didn't need them to remind him, he was already getting a bad premonition by just looking at those beams in the sky, "Commence attack!"
After the order was given, several commands were shouted among the ranks of the soldiers!
The artillery and Tankers all rained fire after the command was given, at the same time the troops begun their march towards the Triangular City.
But they soon realized something was wrong, all their missiles and shells exploded in the air above the city, non of it made it into the city!
"What wrong with the aiming of the artillery!?" General Bridge asked. He wasn't impressed with their shot at all.
The captains couldn't help but glance at each other, what in the world happened?
"What are you standing around there for? Fire new rounds!" General Bridge commanded angrily, what where his men even doing? Losing their head in a mist of a battle like this was very unprofessional.
The same procedures happened again, the artillery unit prepped their weapons and fired two times the shell of the first attack all headed for the city.
This time they all saw everything clearly, their missiles and shells crushed into what seemed to be an invisible wall.
The barrier briefly showed itself, before disappearing again.
General Bridge couldn't believe his eyes, "Keep firing!!" He ordered.
He didn't believe that whatever that was could contain continuous bombardment from them without shattering.
"Curse those damn lights!" He muttered underneath his breath.
It didn't take a genius to figure out that the reason why their artillery couldn't penetrate the city had something to to with those mysterious blue light beam.

Meanwhile a few minutes before the attack,
The soldiers at the nothern entrance heard a voice transmission from their commander in Chief followed by a blue light beam which seemed to have casted a protective barrier over them.
They were no strangers to this protective barriers, their armors were equipped with this barriers which allowed them to carelessly fight to their hearts content, the only problem was that it had a limit of how much it could take.
They all looked at the sky and the space infront of them in awe, it was almost like they've been hidden in another dimension from their original one.
They never imagined that this barriers could be used this way!
"From now on, the Triangular Battle Fortress has been activated, the city is impervious to all attacks from the outside and inside.
All attacks from inside the fortress on the other hand will increase by 10 percent in power if fired from within the barrier!"
[Exception for this, all weapons must be specialized weapons from Archman Group]
A feminine Voice announced!
Commander Phill couldn't help but smile crookedly, "Did you boys just heard that!"
Of course everyone understood what that meant, this literally meant they were protected as long as they stayed within the barrier, though they didn't know how much this protective barrier could endure, they knew it had given them a headstart.
"Boys, it appears that this mission has changed from defending the city to target practice!
Since the great nations are so generous to grant us live moving targets, we should be generous and not allow any to leave.
When those soldiers get within firing range, you are all free to fire at will!"

"General Bridge, we should halt our march for now to study the enemy barrier!'' A general from the United Capital suggested.
"No! Tell the troops to keep marching! This kind of barriers only work against missiles, I'm sure our troops will be able to enter without any trouble!" General Bridge insisted.
"But General, you are putting the lives of 40,000 men on a mere assumption, this is pure madness!" The general from the United Capital wasn't backing down.
General Bridge was a stubborn man who did everything his way! That stubborness and persistence was what had brought him this far in his military career, but being stubborn in this situation was very stupid especially when the enemy has deployed a technology they had no idea about or how it worked!
"Relax commander, even if we can't enter they can't also attack from the inside because of that thing!" General Bridge replied unfazed.
"But General how can you be sure of your assumption!" The United Capital general asked in doubt.
"Commander are you the one in charge or am I the one in charge!?" General Bridge asked coldly prompting the commander to shut up.
He was getting annoyed at how persistent this general from the United Capital was, how dare he question all his orders!
As the argument was going on, the marching soldiers had already arrived at the very front of the barrier.
The captain leading the brigade gave a command for the soldiers to halt their march when they were forty meters away from the edge of the city.
The advance brigade consisted of two thousand men along with twenty tankers, two hundred soldiers within the brigade were equipped with grenade launcher, the brigade was also equipped with a hundred mortars.
The one star general leading the brigade was wary of the barrier ahead, though they couldn't see it.
"Tanks fire at will!'' He barked the orders loudly.
"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"
Twenty tanker and soldiers equipped with Grenade launchers begun firing consecutively, but just as they expected,
All their missiles exploded after coming in contact with the barrier.
"Report to command center!" The commander ordered!
After a few seconds, the command center sent a message, "ADVANCE!
The commander couldn't help but frown, he gestured for the soldiers to keep advancing towards the northern entrance.
Currently the entrance was filled with smoke and gas as a result of the missiles that were just fired.
Though the path was filled smoke, the soldiers kept advancing into the mist.
But just then, they heard gunshots being fired from the opposite side, the soldiers who were unprepared for the sudden ambush begun to drop to the ground dead.
"Open fire!'' The brigade commander ordered.
All the soldiers begun shooting at the direction the gunshots came from, but at a deadly cost.
Hundred of soldiers from the Great Nations were killed without even seeing who the enemy was.
"Take cover, the brigade commander ordered! But to their dismay, they were currently on a plain land with no place to take cover.
Majority of the soldiers hid behind the tankers, while the rest begun retreating in a disorganized manner.
"Maintain formation! Maintain formation!" The brigade commander tried to establish order among his men, but in the face of death, non of them were willing to stay calm and follow orders.
Meanwhile within the barrier, Archman forces were raining heavy fire on their invaders outside the barrier.
Their firepower was more powerful than usual, but they knew it was the effect of the barrier.
"Today we've been gracefully talking fire, it's about time we returned the favour!" General Phill gestured with his hands.
The cannons mounted on the mechanical spiders all got in position, ''General, the cannons are in position!"
"Fire!"
The cannons begun firing loads of shells at the enemy, specifically targeting the tankers.
The soldiers taking cover behind the tankers thought they were temporarily safe from the rain of bullets, but before they could catch their breaths.
A tanker suddenly exploded, instantly killing all the soldiers taking cover behind it, the impact carried on to those around the tanker as well.
The Brigade commander couldn't help but stare in shock, seeing a tank explode was nothing new to him, but seeing a tank explode without leaving a scrap of metal was definitely new to him.
Looking around him, he could hear the screaming of pain among his men, some had had their hand severed, others it was their legs.
Some even had shreds of metal from the explosion of the tanks pierce their entire bodies.
It was a gruesome sight to behold, and just like the first Tank, another tank exploded in a similar way taking with it hundreds of lives.
"Retreat! Retreat! The entire bridge begun pulling back at a fast rate, but that didn't stop soldiers from dying.
Out of the two thousand men in the brigade, only 46 made it back alive from the firing range of Archman forces.
The other brigade commanders who were yet to enter the firing range of Archman forces were scared and didn't dare to take a step forward.
Leading them all was a division commander who was a two star general!
The brigade commander, immediately held the division commander, ''Sir we have to retreat!!"
"Brigade commander, what happened!" The division commander couldn't help but ask.
"We have to leave immediately, the enemy firepower is beyond anything we can currently compete with or handle!
Advancing will be seeking death!"
BOOM!
A tank which was a few meters beside the division commander exploded sending both of them flying.
Big large machine cannon guns and rays suddenly rose from the ground beneath them, lining up as far as their eyes could see.
