The activity was finall over and all the students were in their respective teams. The finally announcements were about to be made when the principal rushed into the hall.
"We shall be doing a few checks on you students. We ask for your maximum co operation" Layla instructed as she commanded the security to begin their search.
They began to enter the hall in batches. All armed and ready for war.
"They can only be doing this if the security of the academy is at stake" Angel muttered to herself.
Her muttering caught the attention of the rest and Soo ah suggested thesame thing.
"So we have no option but to let them check us or something?" John asked, fear evident in his face.
"No The'll probably ask us all to activate our core and that will help them find what they want" Soo ah said.
"We just checked the students and none seemed suspicious" The commander of the soldiers addressed Layla.
"Then we proceed with plan two…"
The hall was a little bit rowdy because of the intimidating soldiers and weapons that were present in the hall. None of the students wanted to get in the way of the soldiers.
"I just received word that the suspect sustained a few dangerous blows" The commander stated.
"is that so… then it just makes our work easier" Layla chuckled.
"Hello students?!" Layla said, expecting a reply.
"What? Is she expecting us to say 'hello aunty'" John scoffedd.
"You all must activate your cores right now" Layla commanded.
The whole all became rowdy once again. The low rankers didn't want to activate their cores because of the shame of releasing less aura.
Some of the students who wanted to show off their ranks began activating their cores. Some of the other rankers followed and the chain went on.
Soo ah activated his core so did Angel and Eleen. John was now the only one left to activate his core.
All eyes were on him, curious of what he may do.
John stared at them embarassed. He started his core.
The whole hall burst into laughter. Some mocking him for waisting time to start his petty core while some others just joined the fun. John felt embarassed.
"All the students have activated their cores" The commander stated, addressing Layla.
"Tell them to rotate their cores. I have something else to do" Layla said before walking out of the hall.
"You guys are to now rotate your cores" The commander instructed.
They all began to roate their cores thereby releasing a higher aura level which is also hard to maintain. They all seemed to be activating their cores but one of the student stood still. It wasn't John this time but a random student.
The student stood still and making creeping noises like he was reconstructing his body. The students nereby began to back out, giving room for the soldiers to come in.
He discovered his only option was to either get arrested or die fighting.
"I'm not go down without a fight" He declared. He immediately stabbed himself on the chest with his hand and vanished.
All the students core were still rotating which means they were ready for battle atleast the higher rankers. None of them knew were the suspect will emerge from.
The spy slowly began to appear from the ground stealthly. He grabbed a female student using her as a human shield. At thesame time, his body began to become solid again
"Don't you dare move and each if you want this girl to survive. I need you guys to drop your f*cking weapons and deactivate your cores. Any stupid games the girl dies"
The soldiers were still armed, all pointing their weapons at him. There was no soldier at his back who could easily attack him.
"If we don't deactivate our cores then these girl dies" Angel wispered, suggesting they should deactivate their cores.
"John you can do this" A soft low tuned voice suggested to him. He looked around to find the source but it wan't his team mates obviously.
"Is this my f*cking conscience or what?!" John exclaimed surprised at the voice.
"I shall kill the girl if you dont deactivate your core. Do it now!" He agitated furiously causing the students to start to deactivate their cores.
"Drop your weapons right now!" He furiously stated once again, pressing his fingers against the girl's head.
"Just one smell of my gases kills her. So if you dont do as i say then i may as well end both of our lives" he stated.
John stood in a ready to run stance. Soo ah noticed this and called to John's attention.
"John whad you think you're doing?" He wispered to John.
"Saving someone" John smiled. He immediately dashed out with all his might.
