Arghhhh~
The powerful scream echoed across the empty landscape, yet it went unheard by any living being. Despite the vast expanse around, there was no one in sight for as far as the eye could see.
Artemis let out a bloodcurdling scream, his eyes fixed on the red moon above. His body was wracked with unbearable agony, as if every cell in his body was tearing itself apart. It felt like his bones were shattering into dust, the pain leaving him feeling shattered and broken.
As agony consumed his entire being, he began to swell in size before collapsing to the ground.
As the most powerful Vampire, he had faced many enemies before and he went through pain too, but because of his powerful body, he was always able to bear the pain. But this time was different. It was a pain that could kill!
He was aware that the initial transformation of a werewolf caused immense pain, and it appeared to be one of those instances. The person he had inhabited was experiencing their first change, and he found himself in the midst of it all.
He contorted on the floor in agony, struggling. Tears gathered in his eyes, unbidden, for the first time in seemingly ages. It was a novel sensation, this sensation of crying, and one he hadn't encountered in some time.
His bones started becoming bigger and longer. Claws erupted from his fingers and his skin started stretching as he started becoming less and less human-like.
His pupils underwent a transformation that felt like it went on forever before finally ending.
Unfortunately, Artemis was completely unrecognizable by now. His eyes were blood red and he looked just like a big and fierce wolf. He didn't look human at all.
His height was still the same though as the wolf was six feet tall when he stood on its four feet. The wolf raised his head towards the sky, glaring at the bright red moon with his deep red eyes.
Awooo~
The wolf howled looking at the sky.
Even though the area was entirely devoid of humans, there were some animals in the nearby forest. As soon as the animals heard the terrifying howl, they all started running away from the direction where the howl came from.
The big wolf looked to his left in the direction of the forest before howling again. He started running in that direction.
Artemis was still conscious inside the wolf, but he couldn't control himself. He felt as if he was just a passenger inside a vehicle that was being driven by a drunk person. The wolf kept hitting trees along the way.
Artemis' vision was somewhat blurry and he noticed that he had no control of what the wolf was doing. He couldn't control his body at all, but he did feel like he was running on four legs.
He could also feel a lot of bloodlust inside him as if he needed to tear something apart. It was like there was an urge inside him that wanted him to destroy something. He felt like he needed to create destruction and he couldn't stop these thoughts.
Even though he was a mighty Vampire, even he couldn't control himself now. It was as if his body was listening to these urges more than it was listening to his mind.
He also noticed that whatever vague thing he saw was all in a reddish hue. It was as if the whole world had turned red for him suddenly.
The six feet tall wolf soon entered the forest and continued running wild. Its speed was much faster than the speed of even the fastest human runner, even faster than some cars.
The wolf entered the forest and continued razing through the green grass in search of something to kill. After some time, he finally saw something. The wolf saw a little rabbit running away.
Artemis couldn't believe he was going after a rabbit. It was so embarrassing for him but he couldn't do anything. He was still pleased that the wolf was in the Forest and not in a place where he could be killed. At least he could survive until morning here.
The wolf jumped on the rabbit and what happened next was something that even Artemis would've found disgusting if he was in a clear state of mind, but in this moment, he felt nothing but hunger.
After killing the rabbit, the wolf continued running wild in the forest bearing its blood-covered teeth and sharp claws at anyone he could find.
That night, many beasts in the forest were killed but quite a lot of them managed to survive as well since the wolf didn't stay in the forest for long.
It continued running straight and after just one hour, it left the forest from the other end. Just in this single hour, the wolf had killed tens of animals, big and small.

"I hate this job. They always throw me at night duty. Who the heck would even be smuggling at this time? It's midnight! This is absurd! It's time to sleep!"
A cop sat in his car which had a speed meter kept near the window. He kept an eye on the road, feeling sleepy. He was working really hard to keep his eyes open but it was his first time on a night shift. It was a hassle for him.
His car was parked just a short distance away from the entrance of the town, facing the main road that led to the town, hiding in between the bushes and the trees.
"Let alone a human, not even an animal can appear here. Damn that guy who claimed that a smuggler was going to smuggle drugs in the town. I could've been sleeping peacefully at home if it wasn't for him," the cop cursed in frustration.
The headlights of his car were off, but the street had plenty of light for him to see.
Just as he was casually looking at the street with a bored look on his face, he saw a wolf running on the road. The wolf was running straight towards the town ahead. The man rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
The speed meter started beeping as it showed the speed of seventy kilometers per hour.
"The fuck, a wolf is going to the town? Am I dreaming? Fuck, it's not a dream!"
The Cop started the car in a hurry and started following after the wolf.
He pulled out his phone and called the office of Animal Control.
"Hey, ah, I'm Officer Fern from the Trion Police Department. I have just seen a wild wolf running towards the town. He will soon enter the town!"
"I need your help to get it in control. Act fast, we'll try to contain him. He's entering from the north entrance," The Cop alerted the Animal Control Officer as he stepped on the race to increase his speed, getting the car on the road.
The wolf entered the town and continued running.
The cop also entered the town. By now, he had also called his own department to get their help to contain this threat, but just then, he noticed a man that was walking on the street. The man had a bottle of alcohol in his hand and he appeared drunk.
It didn't even look like he was looking straight. He seemed completely ignorant of the threat that was running towards him.
Seeing a citizen's life in danger, the Cop made a decision.
He couldn't wait for the Animal Control or his own department to get here. He also couldn't wait. He had to make a decision and he only had one option left. It was to shoot the wolf down.
He pressed the brake of the car as he stepped out in a hurry.
He aimed his gun towards the wolf.
"Awoooo!"
The wolf again howled as it jumped towards the drunk man. It opened its mouth as if it wanted to tear the neck of the man.
Bam!
The Cop fired a shot at the last moment.
