Chen Lin's eyes widened as she realized what he might think.
Quickly, she scooted closer, trying to smooth things over. "I know, I know," she said quickly. "I'm just giving you some space."
Wu Yuxuan raised an eyebrow but didn't push the issue.
"I don't need the space," he said, his voice soft but firm.
Rolling her eyes, Chen Lin leaned in closer and, without thinking, grabbed his arm—the one covered in hives.
She tugged it toward her waist, her intention to move it out of harm's way. But in doing so, it looked as if she was pulling him closer in an entirely different way.
Wu Yuxuan didn't wait for her to finish her thought. He wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her toward him with a surprising strength.
Chen Lin gasped, taken aback by his sudden move.
