The play at Lake Towada continued until midday. After lunch, Senichi took everyone to have a meal, and in the afternoon, they headed straight back to Tokyo.
While others had already finished their holidays, Senichi's vacation was just beginning. Since he was on a rotating shift, Saturdays and Sundays were his working days. So, these two days, Senichi planned to spend quality time with Ayako.
Although their daily dates were ordinary, they allowed the two to enjoy the tranquil moments. After the previous cases, perhaps everyone needed a dose of daily tranquility to dispel the shadows brought by that incident.

He welcomed Conan and the others, hoping their presence would make the ghosts appear, making it easier for him to capture them on camera.
As for the occupant of Room 4, Kikuji Banchou, he had a gloomy expression and looked like someone not to be trusted. He expressed a disturbing anticipation for the arrival of the group.
According to the old man who brought them there, Banchou worked in a model shop and often created dolls that looked eerie and unsettling.
These three individuals lived on the first floor of the apartment. The old man who accompanied them lived in Room 5 of the second floor.
The entire apartment complex now only had these four households. Originally, it was an eight-unit apartment, but due to the haunting, everyone moved out.
According to the old man's account, everything began when he saw ghostly lights hovering over the abandoned building across them late at night.
A red light that floated alone, and sometimes it emits a pale blue glow.
Though initially, the residents were skeptical of his words, strange occurrences continued to happen in the apartment, compelling them to believe that it was haunted. Even television stations and magazines came for interviews, making it a big deal.
"Weird occurrences?" Senichi asked as he followed Conan upstairs. "What specific manifestations are there?"
"For example, waking up in the middle of the night with unclear consciousness and seeing terrifying illusions, or seeing scary figures outside the window. After using the toilet, finding the water turning blood-red, and so on..."
"All of this happened in the middle of the night..." Senichi commented after hearing Conan's explanation. "Leaving aside the first few, the last one is nothing to be afraid of. It's probably someone mixing paint into the toilet tank."
"I was thinking the same thing." Conan looked up at Senichi and smiled. "So, this time, I'll rely on you, Detective Senichi."
"Don't worry, leave it to me."
Senichi waved his hand calmly, saying, "Watch as I debunk these little tricks one by one."
