"Edogawa... Conan?"
Upon hearing this somewhat strange name, James Black couldn't help but repeat it instinctively.
"It's not just Conan who's a detective!"
"We're all members of the Detective Boys!!"
As she spoke, Ayumi took out a detective badge and handed it to James Black.
"Oh! Sherlock Holmes!"
James Black played with the detective badge and smiled, "So you're the Baker Street Kids, huh?"
"Huh? What?" Hearing James Black's words, Genta looked puzzled.
"They're the kids Holmes uses to gather information," Conan explained with a smile.
"I was born on Baker Street, you know! It seems we have some destiny between us!" James Black looked at the kids and said with a smile, "To celebrate fate's arrangement, I think I should give you all some small gifts. There's a fantastic restaurant nearby, so let me treat you to a feast!"
"Wow! Really?"
Upon hearing James Black offer a feast, the three kids immediately got excited.
"Did you bring the kids here in your car?" James Black asked Dr. Agasa.
"Uh... yes... but there might not be enough seats..."
"OK, understood. I'll go get a rental car then. You guys wait for me for a moment!" James Black apologized, "But you might have to wait a bit because driving on the right side makes my skills quite bad."
"Not used to driving on the right... Does that mean you don't live in the UK now?" Conan couldn't help but glean some information from the conversation.
"That's right, London, Holmes' hometown, is where I was born, but I grew up in Chicago, the city with Al Capone..."
Watching the figure of the other person walking away, Haibara's expression became somewhat serious, "Hey, Conan... did you feel that something's not right about this old man?"
"Ah?" Conan heard what Haibara said. He looked up and glanced at the figure walking away, "I didn't have any particularly strong feelings about it."
"Is that so... then never mind..."
Haibara thought for a moment and sent a text message to Officer Senichi.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Conan couldn't help but ask when he saw that Haibara was texting someone.
"Oh, nothing, I just had a strange feeling about that old man," Haibara replied casually while her fingers continued to tap on the keyboard to edit the message.
"I mean, why are you texting Officer Senichi?" Conan was a bit puzzled.
"Of course, I'm reporting this to Officer Senichi," Haibara said matter-of-factly.
"No, I mean, why?" Conan scratched his head, feeling a bit frustrated. "He's just an old man, and I haven't sensed anything suspicious about him at the moment. Why would you text Officer Senichi?"
"Officer Senichi specifically asked me to do this."
After finishing editing the text message, Haibara sent it and then smiled at Conan, "He told me to let him know if there's anything worth paying attention to, even if it's just a gut feeling, don't hesitate, just text him."
"Hey hey... isn't that a bit paranoid?" Conan couldn't help but comment after hearing Haibara's explanation. "Seems like making a big deal out of nothing."
"So, I just sent a text message."
Haibara put her phone away, "Officer Senichi trusts my instincts, but I can't bother him every time."
"Is Officer Senichi using you as a radar for the Black Organization or something?" Conan couldn't help but joke, "That's not very scientific."
"Scientific? Maybe it's really not very scientific..." Haibara couldn't deny it, "If it was like that feeling I had on the bus before, I would have called Officer Senichi for help without hesitation."
"So, this time you're not sure yourself, but you sent a text to Officer Senichi just in case?"
Conan had already become desperate with Haibara's lack of security, which was almost paranoid.
Isn't this a bit absurd? There's absolutely no basis or reasoning, just relying on a feeling?
The key is that she still received Senichi's support for such an unscientific and unfounded behavior, which really made Conan feel frustrated.
Regarding this, Senichi said there's no strict basis?
According to incomplete statistics, Haibara's intuition has become almost like a superpower. Whenever she encounters people from the organization, regardless of how perfect their disguises are, Haibara's intuition is like a law of causality, completely unreasonable.
If Haibara were to be classified as a containment item, the situation would probably be as follows:
YHL—002: This individual doesn't pose any particularly great threat. However, when operating with YHL—000, they will invariably create a causal relationship leading to an incident.
At the same time, this individual has an extremely high sixth sense for dangerous individuals, especially those she has encountered from the organization.
No matter when or where, regardless of the disguise the other party uses, or even just their vehicle, she can detect it under that terrifying sixth sense.
So you find this situation unscientific? Well, then, I guess you underestimate Detective Conan world!
Meanwhile, at the same time as Conan and Haibara were chatting, James Black, on his way to get his car, once again fell victim to his resemblance to a wealthy person.
Just as he was about to open the car door and get in, two men wearing overcoats intercepted James Black. After showing their detective badges, they informed James Black that the car he had rented was a stolen vehicle.
They then asked him to go to the police car parked across the street for questioning.
However, just as James Black was about to cross the alley and reach the police car to get in, he suddenly requested to inform his waiting friends, causing the two fake police officers to reveal their true intentions.
One of the men pulled out a gun and threatened James Black, while the other man roughly pushed him into the police car.
"Hmm? What's this thing that fell on the ground?" one of the men with glasses crouched down to look and said disdainfully, "It's just a pendant."
He casually threw the pendant away, and after getting into the car with his accomplice, they sandwiched James Black in the middle, saying, "For the next little while, let's take care of you!"
"Ah! My hand is bleeding!" James Black held his hand and looked fearfully at the two men next to him. "You guys are fake police officers, aren't you?"
"Shut up! Just a nouveau riche who's trying to look like a cowboy..."
Hearing the words of the gloomy-looking man with sunglasses next to him, James Black knew he had been mistaken again. He quickly explained, "No! You've got the wrong person, I'm not!"
"Heh, a cowboy who claims not to need bodyguards and relies on himself for protection, but he's just a coward who bullies small animals."
The gloomy man sneered, "Let's enjoy some of the money you earned from beating small animals."
"Drive!"
Following the words of the man with glasses, a rough-looking man in a detective uniform grinned maliciously at James Black, then drove away into the distance.
