Chapter 7 - Demilich Summon.

"You want the Demilich?", Calypsoe said while turning his skull towards Zagan.

"Yes. How much is it?", Zagan replied. He was used to the Miasma now.

"hmm... you know what? I'll give it to you for free.", Calypsoe said, which made Zagan flinch and change his expression from cold to suspicious.

"Huh? free? why?", He asked.

"Well, not particularly. I won't ask you for money or take your mana. I want you to do something for me. I want you to spread my knowledge and legacy to worthy successors. I can't do it myself, looking like this, so I'm asking you.", Calypsoe elaborated.

"Successors? How will I spread you legacy if you I don't know it?", Zagan asked.

"Just find suitable successors and find me after you've found, like, 5 of them. I'll give them my legacy myself.", Calypsoe said.

'Thats not a quest the game had!', Leon excalimed.

'Ugh... Whatever... I already have a plan for that, anyways. My plan to gather trusted and loyal allies coincides with this, so its no big deal...', Leon calmed himself.

"I'll find the most promising mages in today's era and raise them to be the best possible successors of your legacy.", Zagan responded.

"hmm... But I'm not one to trust someone blindly. Lets sign a mana contract, and If you don't pay me, You will pay me with your life.", Calypsoe said as a paper seemingly apperared out of thin air in his hands.

"Fine.", Said Zagan.

After the whole thing, Clypsoe left, and Zagan took the spell book for the Demilich summon back to his room.

'YESSS!!!! THIS SUMMON WILL CARRY ME THROUGH THE ENTIRE GAME!!!!!', Leon exclaimed in joy and ecstasy.

The demilich was a magic-type summon that was also a growth-type summon. It's firepower grew with its summoner. Right now, Zagan was a 4th circle mage, so the Demilich's firepower would be equivalent to a 4th circle mage as well.

It had its restrictions, such as : It couldn't use any other magic or sorcery other than Elemental Magic (it could only use spells that manipulated the 4 elements, Fire, Water, Wind and Earth). It couldn't be buffed by any spell or potion, so its firepower was constant and bottlenecked at the Summoner's level. It also had extremely low HP, so one or two hits from the opponent would usually destroy it.

But even though it was nerfed, it was still one the best summons in the game because of its sheer damage output. It was a summon mostly used by Melee-type players, because they lacked magic damage, but Mages also used them to output obscene amounts of damage. One of the greatest features of the Demilich was that it had its own Mana pool, which meant that even if the summoner ran out of MP, the Demilich would continue to use magic, and it wouldn't consume the summoner's MP.

'I didn't take any Tank-type summons, cause the endgame golems were leagues better than them.', Leon justified.

'Also, The demilich should be able to cast Defensive Elemental Magic...', Leon thought.

"Yaaaaawwwwnnnnn....", Zagan yawned deeply as he was out of energy for the day.

He took off his robe, his clothes, and wore the sleeping pants he wears to sleep.

Then, he immediately crashed on the bed and fell asleep almost instantly.
