Synopsis

Prologue

The full moon looked brighter, as if it wanted to shine brighter than the sun that night. Unlike the night before, far from the residential area, there was a forest surrounded by large and tall trees. The trees are like looking at you, watching all your movements. Nature seemed to want to know what a man wearing a black robe was doing.

The man seemed to want to blend in with the darkness of the night; the sound of his footsteps was swept away by the sound of the wind shaking the green leaves of the tall tree. A pair of owls can be seen perched on a large tree branch.

This forest looks unusual. There is no sign of humans wanting to enter the forest, which has large roots and sticks out on the surface of the ground. However, the man didn't seem to care about the appearance of the forest, which seemed to him to be more beautiful than the night before. With such bright moonlight, he felt that the moonlight wanted to lead him to a secret place.

The black robe the man was wearing was swaying in the wind. The sound of his long wooden stick echoed every time he tapped it on the ground or accidentally hit the roots of a large tree. Although he covered his head with a cloak hood, his long silver hair was still seen sticking out.

"Huuuā€¦huuu.."

The sound of an owl sounding close to his ears made the man begin to realize that there was an owl perched on his wooden stick. The owl looks beautiful with its white wings and golden eye beads that remind the man of the color of someone's eyes. The man just smiled, stopped his steps, and then stared fixedly at the owl, shaking his neck here and there.

"So, that girl is awake?" asked the man in his soft voice.

"Huu... huuu," again, the owl seemed to be talking to the man.

The man seemed to understand what the owl was saying. His smile was even more beautifully engraved, like hearing happy news. The man chose to stand up and look at the path he had taken. It looks so dark. There was no sign that someone would enter this forest like he did.

The smile never faded from his face when he heard the owl start greeting like he was welcoming someone.

"Hey, I know you guys are excited about the kid's arrival, but the kid could misinterpret the welcome from you. I'm sure he's scared right now; he must feel like the situation he's feeling is a gripping situation," the man said, putting his index finger in front of his lips and asking the owl not to make too much noise.

The cold wind revealed some of the things he passed through. The hood of the robe that protected his silvery hair was blown away, blowing away a few strands of his hair that seemed to glow when the moonlight shone on him. The pomegranate-red bead can be seen focusing on one point.

Slowly, he could hear the roaring sound of a person's breathing, the sound of footsteps sounding rushed, and the sound of a heartbeat working hard to pump blood. Over time, he could see a shadow that was getting closer and closer to him.

[I'll come over in a while; please hurry up and finish your affairs before I show up.]

The man couldn't help but snort amusedly at the small voice that seemed to greet his eardrums. The sound disappeared with the gust of wind, along with the appearance of a child standing not far from where the man stood, looking pale with gasps and eyes balling with shock mixed with fear.

The owls' voices returned to each other excitedly, and the man could see how the child's pale face looked more like an undead face when he heard the owls' voices. The child's head looked up as he watched so many owls perch on the branches of a big tree while looking at the child with glowing eyes. The owls were seen watching him, and he didn't like the situation he was in right now.

The man who noticed the child's whimsiness immediately tapped a few times on his wooden stick, leaving all the owls silent. Only the white owl was engrossed in flapping its wings as if dancing. The man looked at the child while carving a faint smile and trying to look friendly rather than terrible.

"Hi, kid. It's great to meet you here."
