In the operating room, the grubby little child was crying and struggling to crawl out of the artificial womb. With eyes too immature to make out any distinct objects, the child was driven by instinct, managing to make his way out.
The sight was, to say the least, horrifying.
When the child had fully emerged, not only were Yuri and Tuss struck dumb, but the doctors and nurses wore expressions of shock as well. Is this a human child? Could it be some kind of insectoid offspring instead?
The infant cried and cried, receiving no response for what felt like forever. This angered the child, who began to flail and glare, causing the sturdy operating table to thump with each hit.
Tuss looked at the child, then at the ruined artificial womb, and then back at Yuri's belly. He swallowed hard, remarking, "Thank goodness it wasn't your belly."
Yuri wholeheartedly agreed, "That's terrifying."
