"Is that you?" Ender and Daleks gasped in unison.
They had convinced themselves that Yuri was just an ordinary woman with a disability, but now everything seemed to add up.
"No wonder," Ender mumbled. "Tuz was so fond of you. How could he have eyes for any other beta?"
Swallowing nervously, Daleks blurted out, "Can you really save Tuz?"
Yuri remained silent, because she was unable to promise anything before she saw Tuss in person.
"Let me take you to Officer Lyao," Ender offered, removing his coat and draping it over Yuri. "Stay hidden."
"Yes, yes, make sure you stay hidden," Daleks chimed in, placing his own hat on Yuri's head. "We can't let anyone know who you are."
The fate of Tuz served as a warning. They couldn't expose Yuri to the same risk.
With the coat zipped up to the top and the oversized hat securely on, Yuri was completely concealed, her eyes hidden under the brim of the hat.
