As a matter of fact, he was so proud of himself that he almost wanted to cry. The progress he had made was beyond what he had ever imagined. However, what made it better was the fact that it was only the beginning. After all, if there was a prince, then surely there would be a king as well, meaning that he would get only stronger in the future.

Moreover, with his army of butterflies by his side, Enzo had become a force to be reckoned with. The combination of his combat skills, the versatility of his butterfly abilities as well as the support of his loyal companions had proven to be a formidable advantage in the Dungeon of Fury.

Needless to talk about the three new types of butterflies he got.

First, the emerald-green healing butterflies were probably one of those he needed the most. While it was rare for him to use them as he rarely got hurt anymore, their abilities to heal wounds were nothing short of incredible. While it had hurt him to test it on himself, it was a good way to see how good they were. And the healing of the mid-grade ones was even more potent.

Then there were the sand butterflies. He was quite perplexed at first by their seemingly unremarkable appearance. They were a dull brown color, and their wings were covered in small, sandy particles. However, upon closer inspection, Enzo realized the true power hidden within these unassuming creatures.

The sand butterflies had the unique ability to manipulate sand - obviously -. Though, it was much more useful than what he thought at first. They could create walls of sand to shield Enzo from attacks or turn the very ground beneath their enemies into quicksand, trapping them in place. Their control over the sand was incredible, and Enzo couldn't wait to see what they will do in the future. Especially if he ever got a wind butterfly.

Lastly, there were the illusion butterflies. These butterflies were a mesmerizing sight to behold. Their wings shimmered with an array of iridescent colors, and they moved with an almost ethereal grace. Though, Enzo soon discovered that their beauty was far from their only attribute.

The illusion butterflies had the power to manipulate perception and create illusions that could deceive even the most vigilant of foes. With a mere flutter of their wings, they could conjure lifelike illusions of themselves and Enzo, confusing enemies and providing valuable opportunities for surprise attacks. Moreover, they could even create illusions of what was around them, such as trees or bushes.

All in all, those three new butterflies were a perfect fit for his kit. While their powers were less straightforward than the three he already had, once mastered, their efficiency was undoubtedly one of the best.

And thankfully after a week, he was finally ready to face the guardian of this place.

At least as ready as he thought.

It didn't take Enzo long to reach the highest point in the dungeon. He had almost memorized the inside and outside of the forest, so it took him only an hour from his previous place to reach the gate of the guardian room.

"I really hope it can't heal itself!" Enzo said out loud as he pushed the grand and ancient gate of the forest.

The heavy gate creaked as it swung open, revealing a massive chamber shrouded in an eerie, dim light. Enzo's heart pounded in his chest, and he took a deep breath to steady himself. This was it - the moment he had been preparing for, the ultimate challenge that would decide whether he has the right to live or not.

'I hate this...'

As he stepped into the chamber, he felt an overwhelming presence that seemed to fill the entire room. Enzo's eyes widened as he caught a glimpse of the guardian—an imposing figure standing tall and proud. The creature's appearance was unlike anything he had ever seen before. It resembled a majestic, and ancient flower, but its size and aura were far more intimidating than any ordinary plant. In fact, it was far scarier than the giant plant he saw inside the convenience store. Countless closed eyes were all over the plant's body, as well as countless mouths.

Just looking at it made Enzo think of a monster out of a nightmare.

Enzo's assumptions about the guardian's powers quickly surfaced in his mind, reminding him to stay vigilant. He knew he had to be cautious, for underestimating the guardian could cost him dearly. His butterflies floated nearby, providing a sense of comfort and assurance. He whispered a silent thanks to them, knowing their powers might be crucial during this battle.

The guardian suddenly opened its large, multifaceted eyes toward Enzo, and the air seemed to crackle with energy. Enzo felt a chill down his spine, gulping down his saliva with difficulty.

'Do I seriously need to fight this... plant?' He thought for a second before he had to take a step back or else he would have lost his life.

Indeed the guardian didn't even wait for Enzo to move the former attacked first.

The guardian unleashed its assault with surprising speed and ferocity. Enzo barely had time to react as the creature's numerous mouths spewed forth a barrage of razor-sharp thorns, aiming straight at him. Instinctively, he called upon his protective butterflies, the sturdy shields they created acting as a first line of defense.

"Let's get this done with..."

And then, all hell broke lose.
