The girl frowned slightly. "Not that I plan to, but why do you give say so, Mrs. Wells?"
A short moment of sadness flashed across the woman's face before she said, "The vampires all have their darkest moments, and they find it audacious if a human or anyone for that matter tries to outsmart them. You would only be calling death to yourself."
It appeared the woman was indeed speaking from a personal view. But what was it. Belle wondered.
