"That's not what happened, mama, tell him." The little boy looked up at his mother, who held his hand, as they strolled. "Didn't you say the evil spirit possessed everyone? And then a powerful god arose and freed them before destroying the spirit." His big, round eyes shone with interest.
"No, you are saying it wrong." Argued his older brother. "They were ugly demons. Shouting and killing anyone who tried to run, but the councilmen arrived with the priest on time and dealt with them."
"The priest?" The boy stared at his brother with a frown crumpling his face. Obviously, he hadn't heard that part of the story from his mother.
His brother nodded and hummed with certainty. "It is why I always say that we should go to church and pray. He will help us fight those ugly things." He pinched the boy on the cheek, causing him to wince quietly but that action didn't deter the smaller boy from disagreeing with him.
