Lady Philippa, who heard this, paid no heed to their words, ignoring them entirely.
When the human left them to greet a friend, the councilwoman commented, "It is a fine glove you have. Where did you buy it?" Eyeing the glove Philippa had on.
Lady Philippa smiled. "Indeed it is. It was just a plain one, but my niece embroidered the design on it.
"Oh, I would love to have mine done, and I'm willing to pay, of course."
She nodded once and said, "I will let her know."
The clicking sounds of heels approaching them caught their attention. The two councilwomen twirled their heads to see who it was.
"Councilwoman Elma and Councilwoman Philippa, it's good to meet you here." A woman dressed in a fine silk dress and wearing an expensive pearl necklace around her neck greeted the two ladies with a polite smile.
"Lady Meredith," The councilwomen offered a polite nod to the Lord's wife.
