Nicki stood with Darren at a certain spot in the academy that he thought was safe from eavesdroppers and quiet enough to talk in secret. However, they didn't start to discuss immediately as Nicki watched him go around one more time to examine the place carefully, they suddenly heard a distant noise at the very moment they were about to start up a conversation.
"It was just a rat, I think it ran into something but it escaped right before I could reach it" Darren announced, returning to Nicki, who patiently had been waiting for his return. It was starting to take him too long to come back and it happened to be a rat that he went chasing after. They had thought it was one of those people who didn't know when to mind their business.
"And I thought we were faster, yet you couldn't catch up with a rat?" Nicki teased and cocked up a brow.
