Time seems to fly faster since Nicki's stay here at the Nemesis' pack house than it did when she was still at the academy, they had entered a new dawn with the sun up in the sky and showering its beautiful light down on the earth.
Nicki was awake but felt a bit too tired and kind of lazy to leave the bed. She stayed up all night yesterday sorting out a plan with Darren regarding how they were going to find Jennifer. She was surprised to wake up and didn't find him in the room with her, she can recall the both of them kind of falling asleep together, but can't really remember who did first.
Maybe he woke up in the middle of the night and left quietly without her knowing. Nicki thought and shrugged when it made sense to her that it was possible. It was a good thing he did that, as much as they were learning to become friends with each other lately, it would have been super awkward waking up this morning to see the both of them together in bed.
