Nicki had her hopes high that she could get something positive out of Darren when Isadora took her to him, however, right now she was not so sure anything she would do to get out of this place was going to work out. Darren, who still had the mind link and could reach out to anyone from their pack said that he couldn't do it for fear of losing his mate, Jennifer.
They have her here somewhere just like they are keeping the both of them prisoners, Darren said he couldn't afford to lose her. He would rather stay here and rot than try reaching out to their Alpha and get Jennifer killed.
With a huge disappointment written on her face, Nicki went back to the pink room. Isadora knew better not to tag along as she wasn't supposed to be anywhere around now, since they'd both done to each other what they agreed on, partially agreed on based on Isadora's side to be precise.
