"If you really want us to find Alpha today at all, then you'll need to walk a bit faster than that, you are as slow as a snail," Darren said to Nicki who was behind him, a few feet away. He compared the way she walks with that of a snail since he couldn't be able to tell who was faster between the both of them.
"I'm trying!" Nick politely yelled out to him and yet, still kept going slow. She knew Darren was definitely going to talk about the way she was walking. However, that wasn't going to make her walk faster. Darren shouldn't mind her and should keep going, she was going to catch up with him. Her slow steps kind of seem to be slowing him down with this search of theirs to find the Alpha.
Darren was supposed to understand that she wasn't trying to be a hindrance to them. Nicki was just trying to avoid them being too close to each other.
