JACOB'S POINT OF VIEW
I was rushing to drive to the restaurant. I'm just following Ashtrid's car. Since we will be both going to the restaurant. I don't know why they didn't just announce to us what this meeting was about before making those things. I park my car beside hers.
I went out and saw some fans and reporters outside the restaurants. My fans are waving banners with my name.
"Pretty popular?" I heard her whisper to her bodyguard. I don't know if I heard it right, but at least I can show her how popular I was since I even just debuted a year ago.
My manager walked past me while waving his hand.
"Good thing you're here," Kevin said he was my manager, while the team has Kian as the manager. We've known them since we were rookies.
"The management wants to announce the new project they made for you. You will have some projects together with Astrid. This is a good opportunity for your career. Once we made the first project bomb into the citizens, we will have a good break. This is our chance, Jacob. Don't mess things up. All eyes are on you now.
This is what I wanted—just to slap my father's face with what I can do.
"You can count on me with that upcoming project line-up we had."
"It will be a tough schedule lineup we will have in the coming months I want you to still focus on the goal and don't forget why we are doing this, Jacob." I nodded and went to the stage they made in the restaurant. Flash all over the place. Camera's recording all my movement. I better think about what movement I will make next. I was sitting next to Ashtrid while the executives were on the other side of us lining up.
"To start this conference, I would like to thank our lovely executives, starting with the CEO of Aeris Entertainment, Mr. Nathaniel Shaw." Mr. Shaw stood up and waved at the press. Then the host introduces the executive producers of the company.
"Executive producer and director, Mr. Hyuzei Keith Lim. Executive producer, Kio Tan."
Director Hyuzei gets the microphone from the host after a short briefing.
"Good afternoon, everyone. This is just a short notice for this announcement. As you can see, we have the nation's superstar and our nation's boyfriend. Let's all welcome the new screen love team, Ashtrid Shaw and Jacob Pierce." The crowd makes a noise and gives us a round of applause. As we stood up and waved at them.
"We are proudly announcing that Ashtrid and Jacob will be our next top love team soon. They will have a movie, album, and even drama together. Not just one drama we will expect with them." A reporter raised her hand.
"You're telling us, Director Hyuzei, that their project together can be extended?"
Yes, they will be extended, but for now, what I can spill will be their upcoming drama around the corner. I chose them to be part of that drama since I saw their profile and knew there would be a chemistry that could get the attention of the audience."
"Astrid, what can you say about this project line-up you will face after two years out of the entertainment industry?"
Director Hyuzei gave the microphone to Ashtrid. Her face was serious. You can't see an inch of smile or affection to interact with others, not just like she saw affection in the photo shoot.
"I know this will happen when I come back here, and I know my role as an actress will never be affected by those issues."
"Do you still imagine working with your ex-boyfriend Ken Oh in the future?" I can see how she was trying to show that she was affected by those issues they are still throwing at her. I'll get the microphone for her.
"I think this is out of line since this press conference about our upcoming event line-up is not to open those trash issues we've been throwing in the dump a long time ago."
I saw her looking at me after what I said to the press. I won't lose anything, but she will lose her self-confidence. I can see into her eyes. Even her temper was not too long to hold.
Director Hyuzei gives a sign to the host while we are looking at each other.
"Sorry for the interruption, but the purpose of the press conference is for the newest love team we will be watching and following."
Her dad whispers in her ears, making her get up and leave the press conference. We all know why she left two years ago. It was hot news in the entertainment industry that the only daughter of the 'Shaw Family' was broken by a stupid asshole guy.
Her ex-boyfriend was an asshole and deserved to lose everything he got when he hurt her. He lost the fame he got, and since that day, no news has come about him anymore.
"Thank you for coming to our press conference, and let us support our new rising love team." I took a photo with the executives while Astrid left me alone with them. I know there was a reason she was hurt.
After the pictorial with the executive, I took out my phone. I still have class. I saw Kian waiting for me.
"Dude, that speech you made to stop the reporters from posting Astrid made you trend in just a few minutes after what you said."
"I don't do that for that. I just do what I think is best since she gets annoyed, and seeing her get annoyed will make the issue burn again, which makes his ex-boyfriend benefit from those fire issues when they gain the attention of the audience."
"That's right, but just to think, we also benefit from that."
Nah, I don't need it. I need to go." I just got my key fobout of my pocket and went out of the restaurant. I ignored the press that surrounded me because I still had class and was a nerd to get pissed off.
I unlock my car with my key foband get in immediately while rushing to drive to school. I only have twenty minutes before my class starts. I parked my car in my usual spot, and as I went out, the annoying girls started to drool and shout my name.
"Oh my gosh! I thought my day would be incomplete, but Jacob, you complete my day!" a student shouted.
I ignored them and just walked. My mind was full of pranks on how to annoy her. But when I finally got to the classroom, I saw her laughing with one of our classmates, like she was enjoying her day without me. I went to her and pulled her hand to make her get up from her chair and turn around on me before I wrapped my hand around her waist and pulled her closer.
"Miss me, nerd?" I smirked at her, but she was still looking at me with blank emotion in her eyes.
"Tsk! Such a waste of time to miss a jerk like you, so no, I don't miss you." I heard Kai and the boys laughing. I held her chin and looked straight into her eyes.
"I don't accept those kinds of answers; instead, I want this as your answer." I kiss her cheeks and leave her stunned as I sit in my chair, putting my feet on the table. Sabrina looked at me and rolled her eyes.
"Still trying to make me jealous, babe?" She came closer to my face and was about to kiss me when I turned around and saw the nerd standing in front of me. And slap me hard.
"Don't you ever dare do that again, or else I will be the first one who punches you," I smirked seeing her mad at me, but still, I won't give up and prove myself to you.
"No, I will still do that."
I brought my face closer to her while still looking into her eyes. I heard her gritting her teeth in anger. I love pissing her off.
"What's happening here, Mr. Piercee?" I saw Sir Nathaniel standing at the door.
Nothing, mind your own business." Nerd sat in her chair with narrow eyes while I was smirking, looking at her, and holding her hand secretly.
She was trying to let go of my hand, but I kept my hold on her hand tight.
"Stop pestering me; I had enough pests today."
"Do I look like a pest?" She turned her head and smiled at me.
Yes, you are the biggest pest in my life." She said that with a smile but in a sarcastic tone.
Oh, come on, look at me again, and you will know I'm not a pest, but instead, I'm your lover, darling."
"Cut off your tongue instead."
"I won't, darling, but if you want to shut me off, I have a pretty good idea: kiss me instead."
