Two men and a woman could be seen walking confidently through the forest . Walking down the cliff through the canopy ; they were in search of the same treasure which Drake was searching for. One was the mysterious woman within the group who was travelling with Drake and the other two were the twins Sam and Tom. Their eyes were filled with greed and they seemed to be in a trance as they were walking for having the treasure to themselves.
Drake woke up with a splitting headache and the memories of last night came rushing in. He opened the flap and what greeted him was a half eaten body of a naked female. Upon closer inspection the figure turned out to be the mysterious girl who was travelling with the team. Deep footprints scarred the vicinity of the camp and blood was splattered all around.
Sweat started forming on his brows and he felt a chill running down his spine. He was pretty clear that he had a brush up with death the last night and he was saved by some dumb luck .
Without wasting any time he started to pack up his camp and walk towards the destination of his journey . His food and water storage were about to run out pretty soon and he needed to refill both of them .
'Ahhh'.... screaming like a pig he fell down on his knees and started coughing blood. Looking around he started to find the reason for it but what waited him were the merciless trees and nothing. He started to think about the last few minutes and widened his eyes. He seemed to have cross a barrier which seperated something from outside. He decided to test something and walked towards the barrier and crossed it again. Repeating this for sometime he clearly understood the reason behind his sudden pain. The energy inside the barrier was pretty thick which forcefully opened up his block magic circuit which provided a backlash to his body.
Screaming like a schoolgirl he started doing weird poses for an attack but nothing happened. All that was heard was an imaginary crow cawiing in the background.
Checking further into his body he froze . His entire magic circuit was fried up and not even a drop of the ether energy was successfully being stored inside. He wanted to start crying but suddenly felt something off,he looked again and saw that his muscles were greedily absorbing the energy at an astonishing rate.
Practically it was not possible as a clear boundary existed between the circuit and biological tissue of the system to prevent hyper loading and mutation of the said individual. But Drake was fine without a shred of any anomaly. He started to think hard about the potential outcomes and benefits this would bring which resulted in him finding nothing. Shrugging it off he started his journey again towards the centre.
It had been two days since the incident and everything was going normal but suddenly he heard " Stop".
He looked around and saw Tom and Sam along with the girl moving towards him. They tried on to put on a friendly gesture which went in vain due to the large sword they all were carrying .
Looking carefully Drake could see a hint of craziness and greed within their eyes. The tingling sensation which was pretty much dormant till now started sounding like crazy. He being the sensible person he is gave them an innocent smile and turned and ran towards the centre without looking at anything.
Three persons could be seen chasing a lone guy through the forest . The person jumped to cross over a small ravine which was mirrored by the three of them . The women in the group started firing light arrows towards the person they were chasing and it went on too miss everytime. A few nicks and cut could be seen on derek but he didn't let it slow him. He was pretty sure that the moment he stopped it would be his last breath.
Luck seemed to be on his favour as a few hundred metres infront of him he noticed a stone gate going through the mountain. He decided on entering it without a single thought but the problem laid on a simple fact that a huge ravine seperated the both of them.
Drake was smart infact having the experience of two lives made him quite good for his age but at the moment of his peril only a crazy idea seems to have occupied his mind. He knew he only had a chanche and it would already be over if he gave up.Turning back with a sharp turn he started running towards his assailants diagonally. He ran and ran and unconsciously his muscles started absorbing the ether energy more hungrily. As the arrow seemed to have hit him he ducked and jumped back . Tom having his reflection superpower on couldn't do a thing as both the kinetic energy of the arrow and Drake hit him which rebounded again.
Like a wingless chicken Drake started to sail through the air screaming curses at everything he saw.
I was sailing through the air speaking gibberish as the momentum made me close my eyes . I felt my speed slowing and opened my eyes to see the end of the ravine. The thought of making it through, made me very happy but my happiness lasted a millisecond as i felt that i wouldn't reach the end as the wind was slowing me down . With all the strength i had left i did a somersault increasing my momentum and i felt a pain and everything went dark.
