Far away from the antics and work that the castle Dyne was experiencing, the first regiments proceeded to approach the border between the county of Rosewood and the rest of the empire. There were no formal lines drawn, as territories belonged to the people first…at lest on paper. Therefore there was generally only a merchant check point and that didn't have garrisons or anything other than dealing with a few unruly escorts and merchants.
Therefore when a series of soldiers started approaching the watch didn't really have anything to do other than surrender. Runners were sent first to inform the nearby villages that the Onyx Holm empire had come to attack them.
