"To answer sir Ravencrest and the court, I can."
That drew surprised looks across the room. In general, there was an underlying honor in the nobility, where their words almost held the effect of the written law. Often it was never written down what a noble said, but taken as fact even if it was untrue. Therefore, most nobles couldn't back the stories and alibies they told, relying on that others would believe them if they held status over the other. When Tiffaney stated she could prove that, disbelief was more common as the majority of nobles told such lies all the time.
Tiffaney had a lot of altercations, most had no real evidence beyond testimony. If the chairman hadn't been present, there was no way for her to prove things went the way she said they did. Over the last two weeks they did pick out some of the large incidents, and since this one ended with a destroyed building, they had prepared for it.
