With a considerable number of dampers built in, the shaking was only what could be considered moderate. To someone who had no experience in flying vehicles, the very far away ground and the shaking were not a pleasant combination.
In general, the Dyne lord recreated the history of mechanisms in a similar fashion to her own world history. She skipped many steps however having a wide approach because she was working hundreds of years ahead. Flight hadn't been much of an issue to recreate; recreating devices that a modern audience would recognize had been a long learning curve that took decades for the engineer.
This helicopter was two hundred years old, not having a need to use it often and a good coating plus preventive-maintenance plan meant it was still good to fly.
