Mage Nightengale hadn't been on any of the guest list, having technically belonging to an enemy faction. It was also expected that she would be too busy as a mage of spiral plains to come anyway. Beyond simple greetings, there was to many people trying to cheer and congratulate the heir that conversations were not feasible. That waited until they were at the local pub of factory town.
Normally there was two major festivals, spring and fall planting and harvest. Given that they were an industrial society who didn't hold the same religious nature as other areas, they discarded a lot of the traditional holidays. Even further, the small events like market days and other seasonal events were not required of them since they could ignore most seasonal restrictions and live the same year-round.
