Stepping forward as the pylons and servos retracted, her system ops checked well. Had this been a movie the exact moment she was ready for combat the monster beneath the waves would have assaulted her. Instead, she had to step forward back to the plow of the ship and wait for the massive tendrils to coil into place before she leapt off the ship.
As she did the entire frame twisted and she let loose the charging death rays as a tree trunk surfaced from the water. Not all the appendages had the ability to eat things, but most did, and this one wrapped the boat up and slunk back into the water with the entire thing.
