Richard was a couple centimeters taller than the height challenged noble. He had grown up within the community and was beginning his apprenticeship. While they were all here to work, work was not a rapid or fast thing. There weren't large demands placed on the entire facility a person could 'work' an entire nine hour shift and do an hours' worth of work.
This had been a conscious choice by the first Dyne. The general management procedures written three hundred years ago still held. Within included complete instructions for how to manage meetings, how to manage and establish cells and units, how to decide what needs to be completed each month. Most cells would only need to process a few parts a week, and a few dozen a month. As a result, most of the time work was front loaded and then progress slowed down as they met goals.
