Two days had passed since the exorcism at the Makai mansion. Yet, Sei and Mako didn't have much time to return to their usual routine at the temple when a letter arrived.
Requests for the temple services by letter were normal. However, this particular letter was different.
Mako watched as a messenger from the capital marched into the temple. But he wasn't alone. A large group of guards joined him in his journey to the temple.
The elaborate garments of the messenger, and the elaborate armor on the guards, it was clear that these visitors weren't just any visitor from the capital.
What could've been so important that would require so many guards?
It wouldn't take long for Mako to find out.
"Young man," the messenger addressed Mako. "Is master Sei available?"
"The master is currently meditating," Mako replied. "If you could wait an hour, he would be able to attend to you."
