Li Feng felt a domineering stare above him.
It felt like time itself had stopped. He couldn't move, and he couldn't speak.
His own body stopped responding to him.
From what he could see in front of him, everyone else felt the exact same way as well.
He tried moving his Qi toward his eyes, to activate that world that he so desperately needed to understand what was going around.
But for some reason, a feeling deep inside him told him that it was not the right thing to do.
"Arrgh! Aargh! Aaaargh!"
Immediately, a loud scream filled the room.
Li Feng could tell that it came from behind him.
Immediately, all the pressure around him disappeared, and he took a deep breath.
As he looked behind him, trying to gauge where the voice came from, he realized that the effort was unnecessary.
In the air, were two men.
The elder. And one other.
Clutching the woman by the neck, the elder's eyes were cold.
"So then. It appears that we have an imposter among us. Well then. That is much better than last year. A class filled with pure thoughts, now isn't that rare?" He chuckled as he gripped the girl's neck tighter.
"Please save me! Why are you doing this?" The girl's eyes were filled with fear.
No one around her understood what was going, but general consensus was clear.
The elder was too strong to go against anyway, so why help?
Li Feng couldn't understand why an elder of the Seven Sword sect would try to kill a new disciple for no discernible reason.
It looked like the Goliath bullying David.
The elder only held her tighter, and his nails dug into her neck, drawing blood.
"So this is how it is, huh?" she chuckled now. "There is no convincing you."
All of a sudden, her smile turned even wider. It was borderline crazy now as her eyes turned blood shot.
The elder's face changed and he waved his hands.
Instantly, Li Feng felt a force that pushed him to the edge of the class, and he could see a bubble in the center, enclosing the elder and the girl.
The bubble seemed to enclose what was going on, but it didn't block sound, and Li Feng could hear everything that was going on.
"You… you devil! To think that there are still ingrates like you in this world." He cursed as his hands started to glow bright orange.
"Devil? The strong can name themselves whatever they want. The winners are the righteous, and the losers are labelled devils." The girl laughed.
"Do you really think that your hypocritical self has the right to call someone else a devil? The righteous sects should try to remember the deaths that you all caused."
"You vile beasts shouldn't dare talk about deaths. If you remember…." The elder glanced back at all of the disciples who were staring at the conversation and hesitated.
"Hahaha! Afraid that the fresh blood will find out?" The girl laughed like a maniac.
"Hmph!" The elder started to grip harder, and blood started dripping from his hand.
"Do you think that I would go without taking one or two with me? An elder of the Seven Sword Sect. The palace will be mad, wouldn't it? A direct attack at its pitiful people." The girl laughed and her whole body stated glowing red.
Li Feng knew there was something wrong at this point. Who didn't?
This whole conversation told him too much. He couldn't afford to jump to conclusions without understanding a little more.
He felt a sharp feeling and relaxed himself to it.
The world turned white and blue, pausing everything around Li Feng.
And through this renewed lens, he could see something new. Something that frightened him.
He saw a congregation of Qi from the girl, and near the elder's fist.
But these congregations were not of blue or dark blue, but of pitch black. A black that reflected nothing else.
"I need to get out of here. This is dangerous!" He told himself as he turned around, glancing at the exit.
It was near him, but too far away at the same time. There was a faster way to get out.
"This better work." He told himself as he felt the Qi inside him concentrate near his fist.
"The others better try to use the same method, or they won't make it in time." He thought to himself as he glanced behind him one last time.
Inside, he hoped, for once, that the bubble the elder had conjured was strong enough to protect them all
He ran toward the nearest wall, and his fist plummeted through it. .
Li Feng felt resistance. But it was negligible. He had underestimated how strong he got, and how much difference just Qi could make.
His fist melted through the wall. But it didn't blast a hole through it.
Instead, his fist went through the wall, and stayed there. A fist sized hole in the wall kept his hand in place, and it was at that moment that Li Feng knew, he fucked up.
Blast!
A sharp, high pitched noise was all that Li Feng could remember.
Perhaps he was flung through the wall so hard that the rest of the wall broke as well.
Perhaps the blast was strong enough that the wall broke before he was flung through it.
Perhaps the wall broke after.
Did it matter?
When Li Feng woke again, it was all carnage.
