Li Feng looked up at the sect now.
His face was covered in sweat as he took a deep breath.
"I did it. Finally." He sighed with relief. His knees were weak, his arms heavy. (Vomit on his robes already, for those who know it…)
"Good, little boy. If it weren't for these two monsters here, you would be number one in this batch." The old man who was talking to the veiled woman and the yellow robed man looked at him and smiled.
"It also appears as if you do not have any cultivation method. In such a situation, to come this far is truly spectacular." He said.
"Li Feng greets Elder." Li Feng cupped his hands and bowed down slightly.
"Good. Good. You know your manners, unlike two unruly kids." He looked back at the two who faced each other once again.
"Well then. Don't worry anymore. The trials that you shall face are over, for now. All we need to do is wait for the rest of them to come up." The elder said.
"Of course, Elder." Li Feng nodded.
"In the mean time, you can sit down and recover all the energy that you have lost. As you went up the staircase, I am sure you learned how to recover your Qi in a rudimentary way." The elder said.
To this, Li Feng nodded and he quickly moved to the side, sitting down.
He closed his eyes and felt a warm feeling recover all of his fatigue.
"This… the density of the Qi here is unmatched! It is even better than the staircase, with that wierd force that served as Qi source." Li Feng thought to himself.
"No wonder people want to be a part of a sect so badly. Never mind the techniques they can learn… just with the Qi density here, anyone who cultivates here should have an advantage." Li Feng thought to himself.
The time passed by as his fatigue disappeared slowly.
When he opened his eyes again, he could see that there were two more people standing near him.
They were talking to each other, and every now and then, they stole a glance toward Li Feng.
"Taking the spotlight might not have been a good idea?" Li Feng thought to himself.
"Hello brother! Looks like we meet again!" Before Li Feng could even get up, a bright and cheerful voice shook him.
It had come from the side, slightly behind him, but Li Feng knew who had just spoken.
Turning around, he could see the yellow robed young boy.
His brown hair had been tossed around, completely unruly.
"We meet again, indeed." Li Feng smiled bitterly.
"So, now that our meeting has some substance, let us introduce ourselves. Your name is?" He asked with a bright smile on his face.
"I told you my name before, didn't I?" Li Feng paused.
"Who would want to remember a name that some stranger has told you? But now, we are no longer strangers as we? We are fellow disciples of the same sect." The boy said.
Li Feng shook his head, unable to counter this argument.
"Li Feng. Thats my name." He said.
"You really must have told me then. Because it seems vaguely familiar to me." he nodded.
"I am Qin Bo. Nice to meet you. I am sure that we will be seeing more of each other as the year progresses." The young boy said.
Li Feng nodded as his eyes slowly drifted to the side, where the veiled woman was sitting all alone.
"It seems like you know her? Both of you have been talking to each other for quite some time now." Li Feng asked.
"Her? I don't know her? She is such a… you don't need to associate yourself with her, Brother Feng. She is just a kill joy." Qin Bo shook his head.
"I see… how do you know her? Both of you are Saint Level talents… that is a shock in and of itself. Where are you both from?" Li Feng asked.
"That… is something that I am afraid I cannot say, brother. Forgive me for that. But I am sure you will find my words to be true as you continue to see her." Qin Bo said.
"Well then, it is time things get interesting. Those slow pokes are finally coming up," Qin Bo looked at the staircase where Li Feng could make out the figures of a few disciples.
This marked almost an hour since Li Feng had finished climbing this mountain. The first few other than Li Feng, Qin Bo, and the veiled woman, to reach the top had only done so fifteen or twenty minutes after Li Feng.
And even Li Feng was almost thirty minutes late compared to Qin Bo and the veiled woman.
"We can't compare to you two." Li Feng sighed as he shook his head.
"No, brother. What you have done is more interesting than what we have done. You went up the staircase on your own without any cultivation. That is something that not many can achieve." Qin Bo shook his head.
As he said this, three people staggered forward from the staircase and fell on the ground, head first.
"Finally! I made it!" One of them shouted with a rough voice.
"Sima Xun! Who would have thought that he would be one of the first after that blast." Li Feng thought to himself.
"Guess the only reason he was blasted off was that he was unprepared for what was to come." He realized.
One by one, as the minutes trickled down, people were starting to gather to make a crowd that was quite exhausted.
It was now that Li Feng appreciated the elder's gesture to tell him to recover, because looking at how exhausted these people were when they were just standing, Li Feng felt his knees grow weak again.
"Now that I think about it, where did the elder go?" Li Feng looked around.
"Yes. That marks everyone. Finally, all of you are here." An old, wise voice resounded in everyone's ears as Li Feng looked up instinctively.
Covering the sun was a shadow. A shadow of the elder that he had met before.
"Welcome to the Seven Sword Sect. It is time for all of you to become true disciples of the sect."
