They stopped me and I lowered the glass for them.
"Hello, officers." I greeted with a smile plastered on my face.
The moment they saw me, they froze.
"Boss. Make way!!!" An officer called and I grew confused.
Either way, I sped out of the area and soon found myself on the freeway to the big town. Perhaps, this was a thing with finding one's mate or maybe, my wolf did something.
"I did nothing." He suddenly said,
"Stay out of my head." I warned him.
We still had this thing between us where we were trying our hardest to respect each other's boundaries. Sometimes however, he seemed to get ahead of himself and make it as though there was a force driving him to control.
I heard his grumpy tone but ignored him as I looked back at her. Certainly, I would not be taking her with me back to the hospital but to my home as I already knew that she was my kind.
