The next day we didn't have any class, as the prom committee were finishing up the final touches to the decorations.the theme was formal,in other words razzle dazzle. Ana and I were locked up in my room as she helped me with the dress,we spent the entire afternoon getting it done and it was finally finished.
"It looks beautiful ma'am,Everyone will be speechless" she said
"You should have seen my mother,I couldn't take my eyes off her every time she had this on" I reminisced with a smile.
"Like mother like daughter then" she said
The doorbell was heard and looking through my balcony,I saw debrah.
"Let's go!" She yelled spotting me and I nodded with a laugh.
"You go,I'll clean up in here." she said
"Thank you Ana,my shoes will also be delivered later on"
"I'll have everything ready for you when you return" she replied
"You're a peach!" I said with a smile and rushed downstairs.
Meeting with Debby,we got to her car and drove to the saloon.This was all her idea.we got our nails done then went on with the hair.debby curled her blonde hair and it was kept to the side,with simple make up and mate pink lipstick. When she was done,she was almost unrecognizable.For my hair,they tied it up in a messy designed manner.a strand of hair was left to hang to my right as the rest was clipped with a green miniature tiara.a slightly visible make up and rosy red lipstick to finish it off.
"Admit it!"debby said when we were about to leave
"I love it!" I said and giggling
We had spent a total of 4hours and it was already 6pm.We went back home, got in through the back door and quietly made our way to my room.Debby had left her things at my place,so in the remaining hour we got dressed.
With Ana's help,I got into my dress.It was a short sleeveless emerald green dress,that tightly clinged to my body and reached my thighs.it was encrusted with green emeralds on its chest piece and a beautiful floral design on its bottom.its back was slightly exposed with only laces crossing it to the bottom,where a green bow rested just above her buttocks.With a matching emerald necklace and earrings to boost,and her black laced heels,she was flawless.
"Holy crap,Aliyah!" Debby exclaimed
"What do you think?" I asked
"You- Oh my gosh! I don't even know what to say!" She exclaimed and I giggled
From my room we heard the gates open and a black Bentley bentayga made its way in.we finished each other's final touches,I carried a black purse and she a blue one.
"I'll be right down,you go ahead"I said to debby and Ana escorted her down.
"Hi mom,I'm wearing your dress tonight. I really wished you were here to see me, you'd probably be in tears right now and I'd wipe them away. I miss you both very much" I said preventing the tears
"Fucking hell!" Jackson exclaimed as he laid eyes on her as she got down.
He went on and took her from Ana and had another look at her.
"You are beautiful" he said
"Thank you"Debby replied blushing
"My favorite colour! Aliyah did this huh!" He asked and I nodded
"Uncle I change my mind,I'm going to prom!" He announced and she giggled
"Get back here!" Uncle Roy demanded
"There are chaperons,I'm pretty sure they'd notice" Debby teased
"I don't give a shit!" He said and kissed her
"It's just one night,relax" Debby said
"Have dinner with me afterwards?" He offered
"Yes!" She exclaimed in joy.
"I'll pick you up in four hours" he said and she nodded
"Where is she?" Kaiden asked
"Oh she'll be right down! I suggest you hold on to something,you might just faint" she teased excitedly
"Woah!" Jackson exclaimed and we turned our attention to where he was staring.
She was making her down the stair case,one step at a time with her hand on the handrail.I had to blink more to acknowledge the fact that she was actually standing there,she was breath taking.The dress,that small dress that fitted her body perfectly.shaping out her beautiful curves and exposing her fair legs.She smiled,and her emerald eyes glittered,matching her entire outfit. I couldn't take my eyes off of her as she came closer. The expression on my face was expected as Debby giggled,But I wasn't the only one astonished,as they all looked speechless.
"Uncle!" She innocently called out
"You look just like -"
"Mom!"Jackson finished
"She would have been so happy for you" Uncle Roy said as I fought back the tears and smiled.
I walked over to Kaiden who hadn't said a single word.He looked jaw dropping,he had on a black tuxedo that outlined his body physic perfectly,a bow tie on his neck and a tiny green rose clipped on his left pocket,he still had his usual messy hair,but he was perfect.
"I don't even know what to say to you at this moment " he said with a low husky voice and I smiled "Absolutely no words could describe your beauty" he added and I found myself fighting away the tears once more.
"How did you know?" I asked looking at his pocket
" I lied.Black was my favorite color,until I met your eyes" he said
"You best get going now" Uncle Roy pointed out
Jackson gestures for us to lead the way,and Kaiden escorted me into his car and drove off.Debby and Jackson followed behind in his golden Mercedes S-class.
"Kaiden is going to reveal the truth to her!" Jackson said
"Really?! Tonight!" Debby asked
"I guess so.keep an eye out on her,her ear rings have a tracking device.when you notice them leave,you give me a call" he ordered and she nodded
"Jackson,I think he actually loves her" she stated
"No! He only loves what he thinks he knows,trust me! When he finds out the truth,you'll see his true colours" Jackson said
We got to school and it was clear they went all out.the decorations went all the way to the parking lot.a lot of people were already there,as the cars were jammed.we found a spot and made our way in,Austin was there to escort Debby inside the moment we arrived. He wore a blue tuxedo that matched with Debby beautifully.
"How about we make her jealous?" Debby whispered to him
"Kira? She does even care for my existence!" He replied
"Let's find out then!" She said
As we walked the halls making our way to the room.Everything looked beautiful as the splash of colors could be seen.people were already dancing and drinking the night away.mummers could be heard as we got in,as though our arrival was awaited.Kaiden paying no notice to them,held onto my hand and led me to there table.
Kira was seated there with the other four guys as usual who were all wearing tuxedos tonight,She'd worn a long deep red gown and her brown hair ponytailed behind.She glared at me as we sat down,still not happy of my presence.
"Oh you made it sister! You look beautiful" Kaiden said
"There are other tables,you know." She said
"I like this one" he replied
"Then you can have it!" She said and got up to leave.
"Isn't Aliyah gorgeous?" He teased,she looked at me in spite and left with the men.
"Kaiden,are you crazy?!" I yelled when she left
"Don't mind her,she's just jealous" he said chuckling
"She will never like me,will she?" I asked
"She doesn't hate you! She's just- protective"
"Of you?"
"Of everything.lets go dance" he said and stood up to offer me a hand
"You're just full of surprises,Scott!" I said giggling
The music had shifted to a slow song,and couples paired up to dance. Kaiden held onto me close as I placed my hands around his neck,and we swiftly danced to the song. He looked me in the eyes the entire time, mesmerized,His blue eyes ever so captivating,as we got lost in the music.
Laura and Loyd were also on the dance floor,she wore a short pink dress and her blonde hair let loose behind and he a white tuxedo.
"I can't take my eyes of them!" One girl said
"They are so prom king and queen,look at them!" Another said
"She must really be something to have gotten his attention"
Kira and Austin run into each other at the punch table.Seeing her,he took a glass and poured her some and handed it to her.She stared at him and noticed the scar on his hand from yesterday,feeling guilty she took the glass.He proceeded to pour two more classes for himself and Debby.
"Your hand,how is it?" She asked and he was surprised
"Fine.you don't have to worry about that" he said hiding his emotions
He carried the glasses and returned to Debby's side as she stood to watch. Debby had stood up,taken a sip of the punch and insisted to go dance with him,which he agreed to.
"She's still looking at us" Debby whispered in his ears with a smile
"Really?" Austin asked excited
"Yes!" She replied
"She asked how my hand was"
"That means she does care! I knew it! She's not as heartless as she portrays to be" Debby said as they danced
Later on the music changed and everyone one was enjoying themselves on the dance floor,we'd danced the night away,had some drinks then later on had some food.three hours had gone by and people were now voting for the king and queen.Austin and Debby had joined us on our table as they made there vote.
"You two! Obviously!" Debby exclaimed
"I can't believe we're even on this list"
"Because you are royal worthy!" I said and voted for them.
"You two it is" Kaiden said and voted
"It doesn't matter what you two think,you wait and see" Debby said and the papers were collected.
"I wanna show you something" Kaiden whispered to me
"Right now?" I asked and he nodded "we'll be right back!" I said as we got up
"You're leaving? They will announce the winners soon!" Debby said
"Then you better get ready" I teased and we left through the back door
Debby took out her phone and warned Jackson.
"What's happening?" Austin asked
"He's gonna tell her the truth" she said
"Tonight!" He asked and she nodded
"I'll be leaving in an hour or so,keep us informed Incase of anything" she said and he nodded
We got in his car and he drove us off.it was actually happening,he was going to reveal himself and there hideout.despite knowing half of it,I was still terrified. He seemed to be contemplating as well.
"Where are we going? Your house?" I asked
"Yes! But first there's something you need to see for yourself" he said
We arrived at the trailway that led to the pond.hand in hand we made our way there until we were now facing the pond.
"Aliyah,There's something I haven't told you about myself,something that has been eating me up inside,something that may change the way you see me completely.A secret that I knew when I revealed it,will endanger you,will endanger me,and I might even loose you"
"Wh-what are you talking about,Kaiden" I stammered in fear
Undressing his shirt and coat,he stepped back and looked into my eyes
"There's a part of me you don't know about,a dark side of me" he said
Then looking at him,he transformed into a large black werewolf and I was shocked.despite knowing his real identity,nothing could have prepared me for that.He was just like the one we encountered that day,only he was bigger,ferocious and much more scarier.
But looking into his now royal blue eyes,it was as though I could still see him.He was still my Kaiden.He looked at me like a scared puppy,awaiting my response.Strangely so,I wasn't scared of him, something told me that he wouldn't hurt me,that behind all of that,he was still there.
I stepped closer and reached out to caress his face,his warm and soft fur could be felt on my hand and I smiled to him.Rubbing himself on my hand,he kneeled and transformed back.
"You're not the slightest bit scared of me? No,what was that?! You're a monster!" He asked worried
And I shook my head chuckling and he smiled in disbelief.
"My mother was a young heiress to a huge fortune,and so her family made sure she was to be with a perfect suitor. One who would be able to foresee and help her manage the businesses.but instead,my mother fell in love with a stranger and well you can imagine the commotion that arose. My father didn't have much to his name,but he was natural born leader from the start,who had always seeked fairness and justice.
Fighting for there love,they went beyond all odds.they threatened to disown my mother from her inheritance if she was to choose my father,and she didn't have to think twice .It was then my father realized, just how much my mother loved him and so he revealed to her,his true identity." He narrated
"My father was a werewolf!" He admitted "and even then my mother stood by him,not scared in the least.Just like you" he said "my mother planned an act and they left one another.her family convinced it to be true,she attained her inheritance after her parents died. After getting what she wanted,they returned to each other and together they built a legacy.My father was Alpha to his pack and my mother became one of them and they led together.years after,my sister and I were born and later on they died in combat."
Listening to him,I pulled him closer and hugged him tight.
"Why are you telling me all of these now?" I asked
"Before when my father died,I asked him how he knew it was my mother.And he said, 'she didn't have to give up her fortune,every day spent with her I felt more and more sure.All she had to was smile,and I wanted to keep it that way. Every time I looked into her eyes,I never wanted to look away.The way I felt when I'm with her,I knew she was the one'" he said as I was now tearing up "It's you,you're the one" he said and wiped the tears in my eyes before they could fall.
