Chapter 10 - Slimy

Within the United Kingdom were all kinds of conflicting organisations that had different ideologies and goals so it was difficult for every place to stick to the rules.

Most people in places that were furthest away from the south where the capital was located had to live under the unstable circumstances that they were placed in due to the countries governors and other hero groups failing to spread their influence over the whole country.

The biggest hero agency was called 'The Round Table' and their top hero that was the first hero in the country was named Excalibur.

He had a special type of Quirk that let him manipulate light into beams and he usually used swords or other tools to direct those beams towards people whether he was swinging them or thrusting them towards his target.

The Round Table was an organisation that followed along with the wishes of the people in power and they were the main hero organisation that helped to enforce the laws closer to the capital.

The biggest major religion in England was made up of the former larger population of Christian followers which had developed into the Holy Order.

The second hero in the country was a female hero that had the hero name 'Valkyr' and her Quirk was a bird wing type that allowed her to make use of her wings that looked like they belonged to a goose or an angel depending on how people looked at them.

Valkyr was the biggest reason why the following for the Holy Order had grown a lot over the years and she was a very popular figure that attracted many followers due to her angelic appearance.

The Round Table were believers that their powers and others should not be used for selfish reasons and that the Quirks should only be brought out by those that were qualified to do so just like how a sword should be sheathed unless it was wielded by someone capable and who was using it for good.

The Holy Order were believers that their powers should be used to aid others and that laws or restrictions would only get in the way of that especially when the qualification or entry tests would cause some excellent Quirks that could help others to be unable to gain the chance they needed to make a positive impact on the world.

One was aligned with the law and the governing powers while the other voiced their opinions for the sake of the people that could have been saved by someone near them or for the potential heroes that missed their chance.

Further away from the capital was where many criminal organisations and revolutionary groups were holding up and among them was the Mutant Union that was made up of Quirk users that had been rejected by society or had suffered from all kinds of discrimination.

The Bulldog Quirk user named Butch that was once a part of the carnival with Tiffany had been somewhere in the northeast that was much further away from London so he had to deal with the more chaotic environment that he was living in.

If it was not for assistance of Tiffany then Butch may not have been able to survive the assassination attempts on him and he may not have been able to earn the trust of his boss after providing his boss useful information of plan to usurp their position.

The environment that people were gathered around was filled with all kinds of large rectangular metal containers and there were boats off in the distance.

It was late at night and there were some people that were meeting with another group near a large container.

The location seemed like some kind of docking area or marine transportation port that handled the cargo that ships carried across the sea and checked over the containers.

The two groups had talked among themselves in the darkness and their actions seemed shady if any normal person had seen them.

One side seemed to be workers that handled the security and inspection of the containers while the other group were dressed like gangsters and had an intimidating presence about them.

The door to the container was opened up and they looked inside before it was closed again, the gangsters had taken out a brown envelope that seemed to be filled with money then handed it to the guards.

The guards had taken the money then signalled to others nearby and the container started to be moved by a crane onto the back of a truck.

The gangsters got inside of the truck then started to drive away until they had reached outside of the ship yard.

They were driving at a steady pace without a single care in the world until something slimy had suddenly splashed onto their windshield and blocked their view. "Whoah!"

"Stop the car!"

"Find out who did this!"

"Be careful! This could be an ambush!"
