Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Eron Zarath

Inside the Room:

"Edward, give me the boy. I want to see him," the mother asked, her voice weak as she extended her thin hands that were slightly shaking.

Edward, the father of the boy, nodded as he handed the loudly crying boy to the mother very carefully, as the loud crying resounded out of the thin walls of the room and into the mother's arms.

"Be careful with my boy, Lia," Edward said as he wiped his eyes clear. "Oh God, Edward, stop being such a crybaby," Lia said as she took the boy into her arms and brought the crying boy close to her body.

The boy, seemingly feeling the warmth, slowly stopped crying and fell asleep.

Edward looked at Lia in shock. "How did you do that?" Ed asked, shocked at seeing what happened in front of him. Lia weakly smiled as she looked at him.

"Maybe it's because he likes his mommy better than his crybaby daddy," she said with a small smirk.

Edward let out a gasp when he heard what his wife had just said. "Well, Claire likes me more," he mumbled to himself as he looked away, causing a soft chuckle to escape Lia's lips.

Hearing the chuckle a smile appeared on Ed's face as he turned back to look at Lia.

"I love you, honey, but I am never doing that again," Lia said as her grip weakened on the boy as her eyes began hazing.

Ed reacted quickly and took the boy from Lia's hands as he saw her slowly closing her eyes to rest.

He smiled a little and kissed her forehead. "I love you too, honey. Rest well," he said as he stepped out of the room and took a breath of fresh air.

He walked quietly into another small room, which he opened ever so lightly as he tiptoed into the room to avoid any creaks from waking up his son or his daughter who was a year older than the boy called Claire who was sleeping in the crib.

He walked over to the crib and placed his son beside his daughter.

"Sleep tight, guys," he said as he decided to give his son a wash a bit later.

Right now, he felt exhaustion permeate through his body, causing a yawn to escape his lips.

He blinked his eyes slowly and saw Claire's body turn towards The boy as she put her hands on his chest and a slight smile appear on her lips.

he looked at the two babies sleeping peacefully besides eachother and smiled slightly.

"You both are now Brother and Sister, So make sure you take car of eachother no matter what" he said as another yawn escaped his lips.

With a satisfied smile, he entered the hall again, only to see the old Nurse. He smiled at her and requested her to clean up his wife's room, while he went back beside the crib, placed a chair in front of it, and dozed off for a much-needed nap.

...

Edward's eyes opened as he sat up on the bed he was sleeping on, and he looked at Lia, who was sleeping beside him with the only blanket on the bed wrapped all around her and a comfortable smile.

He smiled to himself slightly, looking at the antics of his wife.

It had been four years since the boy's birth, who was now named Eron Zarath, and Ed had decided to grow a nice beard that was slowly coming along.

Today was a day that both Ed and Lia had decided to spend preparing for Eron's fourth birthday that was coming up the next day.

Ed looked over to Lia as he shook her to wake her up. "Lia... Lia, wake up. Today is the day. We need to get everything ready," he said.

Lia slowly rolled over to look at Edward, and with her eyes half closed, she asked, "Get everything ready for what?" in a raspy voice.

Ed chuckled to himself a bit. "For Eron's fourth birthday party."

Lia's eyes instantly shot open. "Eron's birthday party!" she shouted as she tried to get up but failed and fell back on the bed due to her being wrapped up inside the blanket.

She waved her arms and legs as she tried to get out of the blanket cocoon that she had gotten herself into while they were sleeping.

Seeing this, Ed simply laughed loudly to himself, causing Lia's face to blush as she stared at him with intense eyes. "Help me instead of laughing," she said, with a little bit of imaginary smoke coming out of her head.

Causing Ed to laugh even more, the red on Lia's face spread as she buried her head inside the blanket, too embarrassed to even look at Ed.

Seeing this, Ed finally stopped laughing. "Fine, fine, I am untying you," he said as he began to untie the blanket with incredible speed, almost as if he had done this a hundred times before.

Once freed, Lia, who had gotten free, stomped away. But just as she was about to leave the room, Ed spoke again, "What? Not even a thank you?" In a drawn out tone and mischievous smirk on his face.

The red that was slowly going away from her cheeks reappeared again as she held onto the door frame with a tight grip.

"Thank you," she said through gritted teeth as she opened the door and exited the room, shutting the door behind her, leaving Ed inside with a smile, staring at the blank door.

"How many nights has that been now?" Ed asked himself, wondering how many nights Lia had ended up wrapping herself in the blanket and then failing to get out of it the next morning.

....

It was a bright and sunny day today as the smell of wood wafted all around the backyard, The grass short and well maintained thanks to Ed and a small shack stood at the end of the small backyard as Lia exited the small wooden house through the Backdoor.

She began walking through the grass as the Ray's of the sun light her face up showing her delicate features as it shone through her Chestnut hair and her brown eyes.

Her feet feeling the little prickles of the short grass underneath her foot as strode towards the Small backyard Shack that they had where, Tools and other mislanious items were stored to bring the Decorations that they had brought and mostly made for Eron's Fourth Birthday.

She swung the door open to the Shack and saw a flurry of dust swirling in the air, She felt her nose tickle as she brought her Hands upto her Nose to stop the dust from entering it and waited for a minute before most of the Dust had settled down.

She walked into the cabin seeing all of the similar looking boxes and let out a grown.

'I forgot where The Decorations we had made and Bought for Erons Fourth Birthday party were' she thought as she regretted the fact that her and Ed had failed to control there excitement and made and brought all of the Decorations a year earlier.
