During this period, Uchiha Madara found himself enjoying a rare moment of tranquility while the academy was on vacation.

However, something seemed off. The constant sound of reading aloud, especially the rhythmic and peculiar verses and lyrics, had disappeared. Madara felt somewhat uncomfortable without them. He couldn't even sleep properly anymore.

Madara forcefully dismissed the jumbled thoughts in his mind, reminding himself that he was a demon of the shinobi world. In his view, there was no inherent goodness in human nature.

He turned his head towards Zetsu, who was present, and calmly inquired, "What have those Grass Shinobi been up to lately?"

With the absence of the other Zetsu's original body, Madara had to rely on this fool for information. Despite being a bit of an idiot, Zetsu could still answer a few questions.

Zetsu scratched his head, hesitating before responding, "Due to heavy snowfall, the Land of Grass has suspended work and school. However, a few days ago, the leader of the Grass Shinobi village brought back a group of wandering Uzumaki clan members from the shinobi world. They even welcomed back the Chinoike clan, which was exiled by the Land of Lightning!"

Madara was slightly taken aback by this information, his brows furrowing. "The Grass Shinobi village is accepting wandering shinobi again?"

Wandering shinobi were usually not readily accepted by major villages without proper authorization. Madara underestimated their tolerance, but in the grand scheme of things, these developments didn't matter much to him.

The Uzumaki clan, once powerful, and the Chinoike clan, with their blood feud against the Uchiha clan, were insignificant in his eyes now. The Land of Grass itself was just a small country, a mere speck of dust compared to the peace of the shinobi world.

If it weren't for the fact that Madara happened to be in the Land of Grass, the hidden cave of Uchiha Madara, the Shura, he wouldn't have bothered paying attention to such trivial matters.

With wrinkles etching his face and his hair turning grayish-white, Madara closed his eyes and asked emotionlessly, "Is there anything else?"

The absence of those annoying and noisy voices made him feel somewhat uneasy. He added, "If there's nothing important, do not disturb me. I am about to enter my slumber."

Zetsu hesitated before continuing, "Oh, and... it seems like we've been discovered!"

Madara was momentarily stunned by this revelation. He looked at Zetsu, seemingly understanding something, and calmly remarked, "So, you've been discovered again, you fool?"

Zetsu immediately reacted, his neck stiffening as he hopped around, defending himself. "Lord Madara, how can you baselessly insult my innocence like that?"

Madara asked arrogantly, "Did you sneak out again?"

Zetsu replied, exaggeratingly, "Sneak out? Can't you call it an artistic excursion? Can you say that an artist's actions are considered sneaking out?" He continued with a string of incomprehensible words about "line thickness" and "color differentiation" that made no sense to others.

Madara, seeing Lord Zetsu's expression of indifference, quickly smiled and said, "How should I put it? It can't be considered as being discovered! But we can't say we haven't been discovered at all. It's just... we're probably being targeted by an organization!"

Intrigued by the mention of an organization targeting them, Madara raised an eyebrow and asked coldly, "What organization? The Village Hidden in the Grass?" He smirked, "Although I'm old now and can only rely on the Divine Tree to sustain my life, I'm still not afraid!"

Zetsu nervously replied, "What? It's not the Village Hidden in the Grass... but it can also be said it's the Village Hidden in the Grass!"

Madara raised an eyebrow, urging Zetsu to explain clearly.

"These tools are all idiots!" Madara muttered to himself, frustrated with White Zetsu. It seemed he would have to leave behind his will to guide these fools before he departed.

Seeing Madara's impatience, Zetsu quickly said, "It's the Akatsuki organization! They're the ones targeting us!"

"The Akatsuki?" Madara frowned. "Why have I never heard of them? A new organization!"

"Yes! They were just established recently! It's a new organization formed to uncover the truth! It's a group of..." Zetsu was interrupted before he could finish.

"Uncover the truth?" Madara snorted. "Interesting! But the truth is in my hands."

Nonetheless, his interest was piqued. He understood the truth and was preparing to bring true peace to the shinobi world.

"What's their strength like? How many members do they have? Can they be of use to me? Can I control them? Let them understand the true truth!" Madara inquired eagerly.

Zetsu hesitated and said, "Um... it might be a bit difficult. After all, they're just a group of kids who are still in school, not even Genin!"

Madara was stunned for a moment, followed by a period of silence. Then he looked at Zetsu and said, "A group of kids?"

Zetsu confirmed, "Yes! A group of kids! They're attending school up there! Madara, do you want to recruit them?"

"Get lost! Ahem!" Madara coughed. "A group of kids?! Why are you making it sound so serious? They're a bunch of useless people!"

Zetsu replied, "Get lost? I already said I didn't know if I should mention it! Don't get angry, Madara-sama! If you get angry and die, there won't be any peace in the shinobi world!"

"Just get lost!" Madara emphasized his words, clearly annoyed.

"I'm leaving! I'm leaving, alright? Madara-sama, don't get your health ruined by anger." Zetsu raised his hand in resignation and thought Black Zetsu was still lurking, and the original body was busy outside, so taking care of Madara fell on Spiral-faced Zetsu's shoulders. If he angered Madara to death, he would probably end up hanging from a tree.

However, seeing that Madara closed his eyes again, Zetsu felt a bit embarrassed. He approached cautiously and licked Madara's face, nervously saying, "Madara-sama, there's something I need to tell you."

Madara, seeming much calmer, opened his eyes slowly and looked at Zetsu's licking face. He spoke calmly, "Speak!"

"Well... in a few days, I want to take a break!" Zetsu asked cautiously.

"Why???" Madara asked impatiently.

"The Land of Grass is preparing for a festival, a New Year celebration. It's said to be the first one held since the country was rebuilt, and it's going to be very lively! So, I want to go and see!"

"Get lost!" repeated Madara

"Don't worry, Madara-sama. I'll bring you delicious food! Don't be mad~" Zetsu still tried to console him but before he even finished speaking.

Madara stopped talking and just said, while getting up "Fire Style...!"

"Oh no! no! I'm leaving! Is it not okay for me to leave?" Seeing Madara was serious he hurriedly ran away.

Watching Zetsu finally run out, Madara once again covered his chest, strange thoughts flooding his mind.

"When one reaches old age, don't worry... Damn!" Feeling much better in his chest, Madara closed his eyes again and murmured to himself, "How did I manage to stuff that idiot Hashirama's cells in there?"

This is truly infuriating!

As the year approached its end, the Land of Grass was preparing for its first New Year celebration since its reconstruction. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and excitement.

At the border of the Land of Grass, a man with spiky white hair stood, taking in the beauty of his surroundings. He couldn't help but marvel at the scenic landscape. "So this is the Land of Grass? It's much more stunning than I imagined. All those rumors don't do it justice. But why should I bother about that?"

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small book titled " ******* " authored by Mr. Ekinu. A determined look appeared on his face as he muttered, "Mr. Ekinu, I, Jiraiya, am on a journey to find you!"

Jiraiya, the legendary Toad Sage, spoke those words with conviction, intending to fulfill his promise.
