Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: A Vampire Queen versus Every Evil Cultivator in the World

Yulia

Thankfully, after coming through that portal, I found myself in the middle of what looked to be an evil sect. You can tell because of all the screaming and wailing of low level cultivators of both sexes, and I was thankful that this portal didn't lead somewhere random. On the ground spread out nearly from horizon to horizon, where naked cultivators were bound and being tortured in nearly every conceivable fashion as around them disciples in matching robes diligently and methodically drained them of every last drop of spiritual qi.

I came to the conclusion that the victims here were probably not the bad guys, and the perpetrators definitely were. So, after killing the guy I had forced back through the portal by crushing his head like a watermelon, I began my rampage. I moved so quickly that most of the disciples were unsure of what was happening even as their peers began dying violent and gruesome deaths right in front of them.

You see, for some unknown reason the Weapon is convinced I don't have a cultivation base. I have done nothing to convince them otherwise, but truthfully I was a mana cultivator in the middle stages of core formation and a body cultivator at the peak of body strengthening. My status as a vampire royal fey construct supersoldier quickling meant that I needed a relatively low cultivation base to see ridiculously powerful results.

Furthermore, as my enemies finally began to rally and launch techniques at me desperately, rather than dodging all of them, I tanked them and used them to further refine my body. Of course, I egged this one on by becoming even more brutal, including garroting one disciple with his companions innards or using one of their skulls to bash in the skull of the other, with enough force to violently explode both.

After several minutes, there was a brief lull in the fighting as I realized that all the current disciples were dead. Soon, this brief moment of peace was interrupted by a much more powerful sense of pressure, as twelve cultivators at the peak of core formation followed a man at the beginning stages of qi tide out to confront me.

"So, you thought you could get away with massacring all of my disciples! Well, unfortunately for you, my sect elders are more than enough to deal with you at your level of cultivation, let alone me." This came from what was likely the leader of this sect, or at the very least a grand elder.

I could have allowed them to do whatever they were going to do to see if I could tank it, but this bodysuit was basically the only clothing I had on me, and I had no intention of doing the rest of this more or less nude. So between one blink and the next, I appeared behind the sect leader and quickly and efficiently tore his still beating heart out of his chest and ate it. Then I ripped his head off and threw it over the horizon for good measure.

What followed was me basically waiting for them to turn to confront me only to appear behind the strongest of their number and repeat this process. When I was down to two, they anticipated this and hit me with one of their strongest attacks, which actually did fairly severe damage to my armor. Clearly, they also could punch above their weight. After I finished off the one before me, I quickly captured the last sect elder, who had turned to flee.

"Alright, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. Easy way is you tell me of any other large groups of demonic cultivators you know about, hard way is you get every memory in your brain ruthlessly extracted before it is wiped clean, then I leave you in a sect of one of your own victims for them to punish brutally for a crime you won't even remember. What will it be?"

In the end, he told me everything I wanted to know and then some, and I rewarded him with a swift death.

I followed the scent of demonic qi to the next evil sect, and I completed the process even more expeditiously there. This continued for most of the night, and I was reminded that this cultivation world was likely several hundreds or even thousands of times larger than Earth. Still, I managed to circumnavigate the damned thing on my quest, with only 3 incidents actually threatening me even a little bit.

The first was this large stone with a demonic script written on it, likely the inspiration for the demonic sect built around it. I flew down with full force and punched it with my full cultivation base behind me, and I nearly shattered my hand for my troubles. However, the stone did indeed shatter into rubble, so it was very unlikely that its secrets would be rediscovered. I then caved in the whole mountain this setup was in so it wouldn't even be worth the effort to try.

The second incident involved several demonic cultivators at the qi void stage, which was likely the peak for this world. They weren't quite as fast as me, but it still took me several hours to take them down, and I had to consume some blood to recover from my injuries following that.

The third was an actual group of demons. While they do emit demonic qi, this is a quality of their race and not necessarily their fault. It should be noted that not all demons are evil. These ones certainly are, but that's not a guaranteed trait of their race.

Demonic blood is highly acidic to those with good traits or angelic bloodlines, so I had to carefully clean myself with holy fire after dealing with them. Of course, then I had to jump in a large lake to extinguish myself, and ended up fighting a freshwater serpent for my troubles.

Then, I scoured the world at top speed with much more thoroughness for demonic cultivators, and many individuals in otherwise innocent or even lawful sects went missing that night. After I had made three passes without finding any more, I found the portal again, exited through it, and forcibly closed it using spatial magic and brute strength.

My cultivation base had soared to the peak of core formation, and I had also advanced my body refinement to the peak of qi gathering. I was better equipped to defend my wife than ever.

Speaking of which, as I turned around, I noticed that 4 cultivators had the bright idea to escape my wrath through this portal. One of them had captured Sarah, and the other 3 were in the middle of trying to get a reaction from Moira. I watched as they waved their hands in front of her face and then chuckled and leered when there was no response. One of them reached for her chest and I saw red, and after I came back to myself there was blood and viscera coating the walls and ceiling, and Sarah found herself suddenly freed.

I had spent roughly 48 hours on the other side of the portal, so I was curious how long I was gone.

"Hey Sarah, do you have an idea how long I was gone?" The girl looked kind of shell-shocked, but I hoped that the distraction would relieve that issue somewhat.

"I dunno, maybe like 10 minutes or so?"

"Yes! I was on the good side of the time differential for once! This is amazing news." I was overjoyed that I hadn't secretly been gone for days or something.

"I don't know why you are celebrating, a couple of them went upstairs and that was a few minutes ago now."

This instantly made me get serious again, and I charged up the stairs at full speed. Instead of wiggling through the doors, I physically pushed them all the way open so I could just walk through.

Upstairs, I found a rare female demonic cultivator holding a knife to Ashley's throat as she watched me exit the gym warily.

"You might be godawful powerful, but this girl is a mortal and can die with the merest snap of the fingers. Are you sure you want to take that bet?" Don't know what she thought that threat would do, as her reflexes were not sharp enough to react before I had ripped the knife and the arm attached to it away from her. Her head soon followed, and I had Ashley secured in my arms moments later.

"Miss Yulia, I was so scared! Now I am all dirty and it's just awful." The poor girl was now absolutely covered in the blood of her former tormentor, and it clearly wasn't doing her mental health any favors.

"Hold on Ashley, I will soon resolve this and then we can get you cleaned up." I said calmly, though I felt anything but calm.

Dimly, I remembered there was one last cultivator, and when I checked inside Hunter's room, sure enough, she had him with a knife to his throat. However…

"Go ahead, kill the bastard, see if I care." The 9 year old looked at me with eyes filled with betrayal while the demonic cultivator with one of the strongest cultivation bases I had seen this night looked at me pensively. Eventually, she came to a decision and threw the boy at me with some force while she escaped out the window. I only caught Hunter because he might otherwise hurt Ashley on the way out. No other reason. Rather than trying to fit myself through that window, I simply raced out the front door and circled around. Demonic qi was significantly more rare on Earth, so this girl was having a hard time fleeing from me. Of course, I hadn't put Ashley down because I didn't want anyone to somehow circle behind me and attack her again, so I was slightly hindered in my efforts.

Finally, I brought out an iridescent blue sword and cut her down, and by that I meant in half at the waist. I cut off her head and dropped it in a lake on my way back, and was somehow unsurprised to recognize that I had traveled across at least one state line during this pursuit.

Finally, I was able to return home, and the first thing I did was call the 24 hour glass guys. We scheduled for the window to be replaced around 10 am, with the specially reinforced UV treated windows that were used everywhere in this house. Then I called the Holdt's Maids, a group of witches who were one of the 9 human clans of the Norse gods. They could get bloodstains out of literally anything, and other bodily fluids too, for a price. They of course charged me extra because it was so "early" but I didn't really care. Of course, this was all billed to the card on file I had with their cleaning service.

Then, I quickly bathed with Ashley in our large tub. I too was covered in bloodstains, and my bodysuit had certainly seen better days anyways. I shifted back to my more 'normal' supersoldier form and got dressed in jeans, a t-shirt, and ankle boots. I wore a black leather jacket and sunglasses to complete the ensemble.

I had Ashley dressed in pajamas and told her to wait in her bed while I went and grabbed Moira, who still hadn't moved. I helped her take another shower, then I got her into nightclothes, helped her take her meds, and even helped her do her business in the bathroom. Obviously, the specifics of which were better left unsaid.

With Moira safely tucked into bed, I returned to the living room just to find the Holdt's Maids on their way out. I handed them a couple stacks of hundred dollar bills as a tip, and they left without comment. I turned around to find all three children looking at me like they were expecting something from me.

"Hey, so obviously Moira is down for the count tonight. So, what are we supposed to do about dinner?" Sarah was the one to ask this, but I could tell all three of them were thinking it.

I wanted to say something sarcastic, but then I had a brilliant idea. I pulled out my phone again and asked, "So how do you guys feel about pizza?"
