It has been days, i already stopped counting, but I was going to turn 11 this year.. Edward has been training me in our journey, he is indeed strong, and he is not a friendly teacher, I could still feel the pain on the left of my stomach from that day he punched me in our training, he said that his master was like that too for him (happy not to meet him) but I am a quick learner and I study all his moves in my brain. While he is teaching me swordsmanship, I have been teaching myself magic, mostly ice magic, since it was the only thing I did back then. I looked at myself in the water, and sighed. (Seems like I have gained some muscle since the first meeting) I walked into the water and then started to close my eyes. A lot of things are happening, and I had a lot in my mind, and I need to relax and take all the negative things away. I took a deep breath. I said some words from the old language and started to slowly move my right arm.
"Ice spike!" I could feel the cold energy strike from my right arm and it made perfect spikes of ice towards a big rock which got completely destroyed. I looked at my right hand. (Seems like I got a lot stronger since back then, I must have a strong mana energy)
"Lunch is ready!" A familiar voice called to me, and I looked back to him. It was Edward smiling to me, I nodded and ran towards him and then he started to pat my head and grin.
"Hurry up before it gets cold '' He said and I nodded. Surprisingly he is a good cooker, I thought it was only Hadir who was good at cooking. Edward made beef stew and it looked good. I took a small bite, I felt I was in heaven, and started to eat the whole bowl.
"Be careful not to choke yourself!" He grinned, and I quickly apologized.
"It's just so good!" I said and took another bowl of stew.
"I am glad to hear, a warrior should also learn how to cook if he or she travels alone, that was what my master once told me so he started to teach me how to hunt and cook beside swordsmanship" He was calm and was very inspired.
"How was your master, Edward!?" I asked him, he looked surprised then smiled.
"He was a stubborn old man, but he had a kind side too but only showed it if he felt like it" he said. (Understable, he sounds very mean the way he keeps telling about him)
"Well, the first time I meet him was when I was 10 I think, I was looking for job because my mom was suffering for money and I wanted to help her, so the old man lived in a big farm and I was standing in front of his door and knocked, surprisingly he didn't take that kindly, he immediately opens and yell and swearing about I should leave" Edward grin
"But I immediately lay down on my knees and told him I need work to help my mom, he began to think about it, and accepted, I heard that he hardly accepts workers, and always did the farm things by himself, so I was very surprised that he took me in, he must saw something in me back in already" he looked up towards the sky.
"Days passed, and I messed up a lot of things, and he had to teach me how and what to do, he didn't do it kindly, always yelling and swearing. But I took it slowly, I don't know why, I kinda did look up to him. Some day in the summer, I was tidying in his horse stable, and then suddenly I found his sword and I don't know why, but I saw something in it, it was sparkling into my eyes. The old man saw me, I could sense it and I quickly apologized, the old man smiled, which was the first time I saw him smile. Then he took his sword and began telling about his past.
He past was amazing, he was once a great knight, but stopped because his wife was pregnant with two kids, his wife died since the big pandemic, and his kids joined the army, one live long way from him and do not really know, what happened to him, the other one died in the war.
He sat down on his knees slowly and took the sword from me and told all kinds of amazing adventures he had with this sword. I was very curious and was very into it. I immediately told him i wanted to be him, he looked very deep on me and then patted me 'sure but first you have to be done with your work' he said and i was very excited.''
(wow he sure was more engerics when he was a kid) was my thought. Edward kept telling his story, and described how hard his Master was but he also said he was a quick learner. But he hasn't seen his master in years, because his master wanted to find his son. (what a great man) was my thought while sobbing inside. But Edward didn't stop, he has kept on training and took to an adventure by himself and earn a lot of money as a traveler and adventurer who took quest from all kinds of guilds and it help him and his mother.
I stood up and moved in front of him ''PLEASE TRAIN ME HARDER!!'' I said, his story inspired me alot. he smiled and nodded ''Then stop slacking then!'' he answered.
It was months and we visited a lot of cities and villages. While traveling I have been training on my magic, Lia's book helps a lot, i only mostly took ice magic skill. and right before bed I have been training on my sword skills with Edward. never had i been so exhausted, being in this world is way harder than my world.
''Let's go to this village'' Edward said while pointing at the map, I nodded and followed him. (another village i hope they're nice like the last two) i thought. It was very naturestic and with a lot of trees, this village sure was hiding well from other cities and towns. ''Welcome to Luder'' it said (sounds cute) was my thought. It has a warm intro, the farmers were doing their work and people were chatting (what a nice place). the leader of this villages come towards edward and gave us a friendly welcome and gave us food and a place to sleep.
days have passed and Edward surely enjoys being in this village. He has been doing this since my first journey with him. Every village we visit he helps them and tries to help them how to do this next time and be better. and I have been by myself and training with magic. But this time I will try chatting! I look around in this village, it has been days, i haven't really talked to another person than Edward, i must become more social like Edward. I look around and scratches my head, it has to be someone in my age.
I saw a girl collecting flowers next to the lake, I smiled (yes i found the perfect one!) I ran towards her and then stopped. I have to find a perfect introduction before I talk to her. I looked at her, she has short fluffy brown hair, green eyes and a very made dress (maybe made by her mother or grandma), I also noticed she's been collecting bellis. (Yus) I know exactly what to do! I walked slowly towards her and she noticed me and made an 'i do not know you' eyes thingy. I just smiled and waved to her ''Hey, I've been looking at you, and thought you might be a nice person, and by the way, i absolutely love your dress! Did your mom or grandma make it? and i noticed you had been collecting Beliis, could offer help?'' there was silence between us (did i say something wrong?) ''Creep!'' she said and ran away from me.
''What happened?'' a familiar voice came from behind and I looked, it as Edward.
''The girl just ran away from me'' I said and looked down.
''Well what did you say?'' he asked. and I told him what said.
He grin ''Well of course she ran'' I look weird at him ''she's a girl!'' i look more weird at him ''and you're a boy!'' then it shook me. I completely forgot that I am a male now! ''well i could teach you how to talk to a girl'' He smirked and i rejected ''No need'' i said and he looked surprised.
I have been completely changed since then. (I have to act differently!) i told myself.
We left the village and waved to the people, who gave us food and drink for our next trip. ''The people were very nice'' He said. i nodded ''They even offered help to bathing us'' He grin and i nodded ''I even taught a ned recipe, i should definitely try it soon!'' he continued and i kept on nodding. ''Hey'' he said, i nodded ''Something wrong?'' i kept on nodding ''Hey!'' He yelled and hit my head ''Hey what's that for?'' I asked him ''well was talking to you but you were away'' He answered ''Oh'' I said and nothing more, He stopped ''hey, tell me.. what's bothering you?'' he said to me with serious eyes. ''it's..'' I didn't know what to say, but his serious eyes were very scary ''I was just trying to act more manly.. because of what happened last time'' he hitted my head again ''A man doesn't ignore what his friends are telling him, A man doesn't ignore! more importantly a knight! don't ignore!'' he has a very serious voice, i took a deep breath ''Then what should i do?'' I asked. ''Be yourself'' he said and patted my head ''But sometimes also be aware of the consequences'' he smiled.
He's right, i was being dumb and still in this body i'm may be an 11 yeared old boy, but my mind is a high school girl! But I have to think! it might be my only second chance of my life! i slapped my cheeks.
''Let's go there'' He pointed to another village on the map and i nodded ''I am looking forward!'' and ran past him and smiles.
