Unable to compulsively comply with that nonchalant advice, Aegri's unblinking gaze honed in on Ayse.
Her fingers squeezed tightly, turning her knuckles white. A raging smirk was smeared across her tense cheeks.

"If the answer is so simple, then why haven't the head officer and captain explained it?

Ayse's lazy stare met her crazed gaze, unfazed. He thumbed through the contract a bit more before setting it down and itching the buckle at the back of his eyepatch.
"... Now that you're level-headed, you can discuss business properly."
When Aegri continued listening in silence, Ayse turned his good eye toward their two guests.
"I'll admit that they've still got a point. You might have to make a call, but we won't lose our suite. It just means we've got to participate in this month's pageant instead. In three days time."
